While Obi-Wan didn't "approve" of Anakin's relationship with Padme, he was probably the only council-member at the time who would've understood. I don't think Obi-Wan was lying to Satine when he said he would've left the Jedi Order to be with her had just just asked. He also loves Anakin. He even admitted so on Mustafar. (Differentlh kind of love, calm down.) In the end, it was that love that made him blind to what Anakin was becoming.

Imagine an alternate universe where Obi-Wan talks to Anakin about Padme more in depth and tells Anakin that it's okay to want to leave the Jedi to start a life with Padme. This could go a couple ways because of course the Chancellor, Darth Sidious, knows who Anakin and Padme are and of their relationship. Depending on what Anakin did after leaving the Jedi, his fall to the dark side could be even worse, never happen at all, or maybe he'd find enlightenment in a life abundant in love and become the true chosen one.

In my opinion, had Anakin left the Order, he wouldn't have turned to the Dark Side. Anakin becoming Vader was a self-fulfilling prophecy. He saw visions of Padme dying, so he wanted to get power to stop her from dying. By trying to get the power to stop her from dying, Anakin kills Padme. Of course, unless Anakin went into seclusion with his family, he'd probably be eliminated shortly after Order 66. Anakin would've been No.1 on Palpatine's hitlist if he'd escaped. If the Clone Wars had gone on for decades, maybe Anakin would've established himself as a new pillar for Force sensitives. Maybe he would've set up a type of Force education that wasn't as rigid as the Jedi and yet more stable than the Sith. Anakin's path could've been one with a concept of gray, rather than the black-and-white of the Sith-Jedi factions.

I love how anakin trusts rex with the knowledge of his secret double life. And as any good younger brother(that’s what anakin saw rex as) rex kept it secret even if it meant straight up lying to Obi-Wan
