With Darth Vader on his trail and obsessed with revenge, Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi decides to finally face his old apprentice once again.
Part 1 of the final battle from the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The fight has been re-edited to contain no music to emulate the aesthetic of the Original Trilogy Lightsaber duels in which the diegetic sound design of the lightsabers were the only sounds heard.
The scene has also been re-color-graded.

@@ThatGuyKh1 yeah, this is actually one of the most praised aspects about the original trilogy, some of the most climatic battles aren't scored, which makes feel like it is an actual moment of danger. If you can't recall, i'd really recommend you to rewatch the first battle between luke and vader from TESB, the entirety of the battle is just the sound of the lightsabers, and the music starts until darth vader chops luke's hand

I agree, there is so much more tension and autencity to this than the actual product it self. And the coloration is way better too... Sometimes, music is just in the way and takes you out of the "IRL" experience.

I think it depends on the fight. Music would’ve elevated that fight, but it was a distraction for this one. The scale of the two fights is also drastically different as this is a more emotional duel between two men who were practically brothers. There are no fancy moves or jumping hundreds of feet to avoid a wave. It’s just a simple fight

the score is really nice, but it too eery and whimsicle fr this scene, not to mention it takes you out of the scene for those who know all the movies. I dont think the score has too much to lend and is very good on its own. the cinematography really shows its strength here.

this is not the lightsaber FX from the show this was a edited FX i make lightsaber sounds for lightsabers and this is not the sounds from the show

Duh doy. It's impossible to clean up the final mix that much unless you have the unedited audio. The person who uploaded this got creative and it works. They weren't trying to fool anyone. Your comment is ridiculous

Well then, If you work on FX (presumably on Disney), you should tell Disney - take lessons from fans. Because what disney made is shit, and this is quality. Even the coloration is better than the b.s disney made.
