When people think of the Pokémon theme, they usually think of the anime theme. However, I think of these as the REAL Pokémon themes.

Well gen 1 was the first gen to introduse all the main types but this was before fairy types were made so dragon types were one of the most powerful types but once fairy types were introdused in gen 6 dragon types got alot less favored since fairy types could defeat them so now alot of people are more interested in fairy types

Ziggerton BW2 was probably my best Pokemon experience yet. Sun and Moon just feels like its missing something. Not gyms, but it just is really boring after beating the main game.

My first one was black but it was in an emulator chip {I'm a cheapskate} but I am now the proud owner of a GBA & Pokémon Gold. I'm currently tracking down a copy of Red because Gen 1 is my favourite gen & also because one of my friends owns a GBA & Pokémon Blue

If you think about it, each generation has something special about it, so it's not just "another Pokemon game": Gen 1 (RBGY): The first one, the classic. Gen 2 (GSC): The sequel, adding a lot of features that turned the games into what they are, and turning Pokemon into a series. Gen 3 (RSE): Full color and gender choice, first GBA Pokemon title. Gen 4 (DPP): First DS Pokemon title, first title with a 3D environment, released 10 years after the original. Gen 5 (BW): The first landmark in how many generations have been released, considered by many to have a fantastic story. Gen 6 (XY): The first entirely 3D Pokemon game to appear on the 3DS. Gen 7 (SM): Pokemon's 20th Anniversary special, taking a different turn to other games in the series. So this makes me wonder, what will Gen 8 bring to the table?

Gen 1 music is Gen 1. Gen 2 music is a remix (faster and more notes) of Gen 1. Gen 3 music is a bit different, you can here it if you pay attention. (Click read more to see below) Gen 4 music is different. (Maybe a little similar) Gen 5 music has a small remix of gen 3, also has more of the soft part in it. Gen 6 music is an updated version of gen 3 with faster beats and more notes. Gen 7 is actually a remix of Gen 1 and Gen 3 mixed together. Explains the Kanto reference in Sun and Moon.

just hearing the gen 4 intros gets me hyped because we all know they are coming as remakes soon. platinum was my first and by far my favourite game yet and seeing it 3d may annoy my nostalgia a bit but in the end it will definetely be worth it

Kieran Bennett Gen 4 was my home when I started Pokemon. My first Starter from 10+ years ago was a Chimchar but my oldest Pokemon that lives in Omega Ruby is my Torterra all the way from Platinum who also is my first Pokemon to get to Lv. 100

Gen 1 to 4 will always hold a special place in my heart specially gen 3 was my absolute favorite with the emerald one. never got a chance to play x y or the new games I'm sure they are great too ❤

I think the Black 2 and White 2 theme (11:55) sounds quite ominous and intimidating and not like a traditional pokemon intro theme. Though I still like it... I like all the intro themes for the most part. Though ORAS would be my least favorite. I just prefer the older version. My favorite would probably be either Sun and Moon or X and Y because of how cheerful they sound.

My favorite thing about the main title theme is that the melody, the core melody, takes on a completely different form eaxh time. RBY sets a simplistic precedent and really sets the tone for the journey, GSC is quirky but has a chill vibe, RSE's gor in-your-face but energetic and powerful brass that gets you ready for an adventure, DPPt has its general eeriness (especially with Platinum), gen 5 as a whole just being a rebirth and giving a whole new sound to the theme, gen 6 bringin' in that orchestration and class, and then finally gen 7, which is pretty much a culmination of the last 20 years of games, implementing several of the individual themes in the music of earlier games. I'm hoping this next gen will come up with an equally as awesome rendition. (Also gen 3's is the best and you can't change my mind).

My List: 1. B2/W2 2. D/P/P 3. R/S/E 4. US/UM 5. G/S/C/HG/SS 6. SW/SH 7. X/Y 8. R/B/Y/FR/LG 9. B/W 10. OR/AS Some I think are too similar to another that I just put them into one group. Mostly remakes. But some remakes are better/worse than the originals.

Crazy how the people that played the first three generations are adults now and maybe be even have a family and I started with pearl. I'm now 18, turning 19 in a few months^^. Crazy how time flies.

All the theme's are only masterpieces. There's nothing better than hearing Pokemon songs from all the games all day long. I practice my karate while hearing these songs it's truly great.

For me, gen 3’s intro - or specifically, ORAS - is the best intro song. Unlike basically every other region, gen 3 isn’t an infinite loop and actually has a proper climax, which is so fucking intense... I just love it so much.

It kind of blows my mind that Pokémon Sun/Moon is the first experience some kids are having with Pokémon. The franchise has come a very long way. Having a fully 3D Pokémon game is something we talked about on the playground but never really expected to see it happen, but here it is.

Gen 4 will always be my favorite. I grew up on gen 3, and when I moved to gen 4, I was happier than can be. The music, the gameplay, the Pokémon, it was amazing.
