I’m still planning on getting the HP Tuner setup for myself eventually since I will probably keep slowly upgrading the engine and it will give me the ability to tune it myself and also do future swaps. The main reason I wanted to do this project was to learn the ins and outs of this LS Swap stuff. Now that I pretty much have it figured out, I can now use the knowledge gained by this swap and now I’m fairly confident that I can do it an any car now. So now when I find those good deals on old 50s cars or whatever, I can throw an LS setup in it and have great reliability, drivability and good power and fuel economy. $500 for an HP tuner setup is a tough pill to swallow, but if tuners in your area were charging $300 minimum for a basic unlock tune, spending $200 more doesn’t seem so bad for the ability to do it yourself and help others with their projects and maybe make a few bucks. I asked the tuner about some of the free tuning software programs and he had mixed emotions about it and said that he has seen people have problems with it.

@@siTTinLo do you know if he does mail order tunes we literally swapping the same thing lol you helped me out alot with taking the V6 mounts out haha that was a pain. Also I might have missed it but what headers are you running mine hit the frame

Yes, if you go to LT1 swap . Com website you can click on the PCM tuning services tab and it goes over the pricing and the process. That was my next option if I hadn’t found the person who tuned my computer. As of now I just have the stock LM7 truck manifolds on my engine.
