Thank You SO MUCH for your excellent video! After watching, I was skeptical that this would actually solve my problem. I have a Moto G5 Plus which served me well for 4 years, then the power button broke. I got a great deal on a new Moto G7 Plus. And when setting up the new phone, I took my 64GB micro sd card out of G5, inserted it into G7 and G7 complained about an incompatible card. I was sad as I have thousands of files on this card. After watching your video, I tried your technique. Masking tape didn't work as it catches on the edge as you slide the card tray in. Instead, I used clear packing tape, just 1 later. The G7 immediately recognized the card, the files inside of it, and it installed the remaining 35 apps. WOW!!! Thank you so much :)

I've had this problem continually for four years with my Motorola X-Play - very frustrating Nothing helped. San Disk 64GB Micro-SD working fine in old phone and computer, but "corrupt" with failed formatting in the X-Play. Tried re-formatting the card in Windows 10 - both "Quick Format" and "Full Format". SD-Card put back in the X-Play and then always and again the message "SD Card corrupt" with formatting in phone always failing at 20% or 30%, both for "internal storage"-Format und "Exchange between devices"-Format. Then came after four years the solution in this video. That the problem is not the board in the phone or the software, but a MECHANICAL PROBLEM in the card slot !!! Unbelievable !!! I didn't want to believe it at first - seemed crazy. But it really worked ! Exactly as in the You-Tube video. Putting tape layers on top of the card to make it thicker and to stabilize its position in the slot. I cannot say how thankful I am to "obscur156" !!! Now can hear music with the phone for the first and store hundreds of photos without filling up the internal storage. "obscur 156" THANK YOU ! THANK YOU ! This worked for me on my Moto G5 Plus as well! I had to put 5-6 layers of clear scotch-like tape on back of card, but it worked, just as he said it would!

FFFFUUUCCKKKK IT WORKEDDD I have a samsung J 5 prime and i tried this some months ago and didtn worked, but now that i see you i give a better try with 2 layers of tape and little help with something like a knife (because it wouldnt enter) and it worked , ssssshit. i wish i would have found this video before i tried full formatting the card, 3 TIMES! I am sure that if any of my data is sill there, it will be a garbled up mess. but I am going down to the man cave to give this a try.

Excellent man. This works for my LG G6. I am wondering whose problem it is? Is this the design fault of sd card manufacturer or phone? Seems like HW problem. Also it works all well before but all of a sudden it started to happen after android 6.1 update. Seems like SW problem!!!!!!!!
