Obsessed Garage Cox Pressure Washer Hose Reel Mount

This awesome solution came from Andrew, a follower of the channel. This is used so you can easily mount a Cox hose reel to your wall with the typical 16" apart on center stud placement you'll find in most houses. Andrew is making these himself and I think they're an awesome solution to an annoying problem with Cox hose reels. These come at a premium cost as all the hardware is stainless & they're being produced by Andrew here in the USA.

I'm ordering this. Just got my active 2.0 kit and realized that the dam hose reel mounting slots are only 5 1/2 apart wth. Thanks for offering this OBSESSED GARAGE. Cheer's!!

Great solution to cutting into the drywall to find studs and so on. I've got block walls, so it's not something I need - but I would definitely grab it if I were in a different situation.

Perhaps you might consider building a unified reel bracket/Kranzle shelf to ensure everything lines up.

I really like the 250 FOOT one I bought from you, it takes me under 20 seconds to roll up 100 Foot hose while holding a rag wrapped around it to clean as it rolls in. Then I let it dangle down into a 5 gallon bucket to drip until I use it again.

DIY solution, two pieces of unistrut channel, 4 lags, 4 hex bolts and spring nuts, throw in some flat and lock washers for good measure, clean bracket though

Is there a way we can get a Cox power cord reel with the Pro-Lock end?

I am wondering if this would be easier solution, even in my case. I have to mount to concrete blocks, but having a separate mount maybe will allow me to fix the plate by itself to the wall and then you just screw the hose reel. Not cheaper, just easier.

Matt, check out Super Swivels. They make high quality swivels that are considered an upgrade from stock swivels.

The COX reel model 112-3-50 (for 50 ft length hose) is so narrow from side to side, that it is impossible to get the Kobrajet hose to bend enough in order to get the 3/8' hose fixture inside the reel chamber to connect to the output of the swivel. Someone (hint OG) should offer an elbow, or a short jumper hose to facilitate connecting. I may have to return my reel and get the next size up, even though I don't need more hose, just to be able to connect the hose. Very big bummer...

What hoses are needed , How heavy is all that??? Is the drywall strong enough to hold when it gets yanked on

The purpose of this plate is to be able to anchor to studs. You definitely cannot use drywall anchors. In fact, you need at least 5/16" lags.
