Beautiful card! One thing that has been helping me with this type of layering stencil is I have been using the Misti creative corners in one corner along with the magnets from the Tonic board. They are magnet too and give me a place to line everything up.

I have had the tonic magnet board for a while. The Misti corners were laying on my desk one and stuck to it. I thought about it, tried it and it works great. I feel like I have more working room doing this than trying to blend in the Misti itself

I just love this card! So Springy! I really like layered stencils so my brain doesn't have to think so hard like when I color. Dodging the rain showers today but so happy to see temps in the 60's here in MN and the video was perfect to bring some color into the day before I head back outside. Thank you.

What a perfect Spring card - love the color combo and that new layering stencil. 😀I don't have many word dies but I'm seeing just how easy they are especially with the backround layer. I have lots of words/sentiments on older rubber mounted blocks (which then become a square/rectangle shape on the card which gets a bit old).

Nice!! Finally a color combo i actually like w/ SSS new inks! I’m so used to those beautiful Distress colors that i was very disappointed w/ a lot of the colors they released. Can’t wait to try this combo. Now i know i can make something pretty w/ them. Ok now a question… where did you get that pin that you put in your little glue bottle? I need a couple that won’t rust. Oh and re: foam tape - I finally found a 3/4“ x 1/8“ (1mm) thick foam tape that I love. When my big mama roll is gone I will never buy it again as it is a nightmare to remove the backing and super sticky on scissors. I just got a giant roll of 3M from HoneyBee Stamps that is absolutely fabulous! The tape is firm yet flexibe, not squishy, the backing comes off with no problem whatsoever and barely sticks to scissors. It’s everything I want from a foam tape🤗 The only negative would be the price which is about the same as the big mama roll. Promise you will love it everyone… especially if you are unhappy with another brand. I wanted to be able to tell people about it so I thought putting a comment on your video would be a good way since I know other people have the same issues. I look forward to your videos the most…even over the queens🤣 I wish ✌️❤️ and great fun crafting to you all! Have a crafty weekend! Man it’s beautiful here in Pittsburgh Pa today, it’s 82° and sunny in April!! Don’t know if i should be happy or scared🙃

Awesome card as always! You and Gina have me exploring my stencils more! FYI - I went back and watched some of Gina's episodes and realized she was talking about her friend Kathy Racoosin who traveled to Europe to study color! Sorry for the confusion. As a result, I'm now subscribed to all you guys - LOL! Thanks to all the vids, some aspects of card-making are coming more natural to me. But I still take notes on the decision process: layout orientation, card-size, color schemes between the card-base and the front-panel, sentiments & greeting choices, margin space, etc. So much to learn! But I'm loving it! However, I did notice, there aren't many vids regarding the insides of the cards. I know that you and Gina have done a few of them. Is there a design reason that there are so few vids out there regarding the inside of the card?

Do you watch Amy R (Prairie Paper & Ink)? She always decorates the inside of her cards. Just like you, I’ve noticed not many people show that, so I love it when someone does something for the inside. But check out Amy R, if you haven’t already.

Hey Stan, I am a long-inside-of-the-card message writer, so I rarely do much inside of a card. Plus, for me, the fun is on the outside! And so… that's my story!

I'm also recommending that you watch Amy R (Prairie Paper & Ink) videos. I watch all of her videos and love seeing what she does on the insides of them! Sometimes it's very simple and subtle but such a nice touch! Definitely check them out if you haven't already!! Happy crafting, Stan! 😃

Do you use your small Waffle Flower blending brushes for every color or do you have specific brushes for each color family? I love those brushes and the holder!

I just use them for color family! You can wipe them down and switch inks in the same color fam. No big deal!

Watched the replay, great as always. Is there an easy way to know how to do the layers? I spend more time trying to figure out which way the next stencil goes than I do putting on the ink.

Hey Karen, usually the stencils will have an etching on them like the ones i used and that at the very least tells you the order and which side should be up!

when you use those magnets is the matt a certain type so they stick? I'm guessing they wouldn't work if you just put them on regular paper

Cathy, can you show us how to mask stencil parts that are super small, (i.e. leaves between flowers)? I have the Altenew "Sweet Spring" stencil and I can't, for the life of me, ink blend! There are teeny tiny areas where it's too small or too thin to get anything in there to mask off the leaves to get them (and only them) green. I end up with muddy pink/green leaves and flowers. Thanks!

Debra! Take a post it note and cut it into tiny pieces! Then pop it over the areas you want to protect!

Do you mostly use the 110# Neenah? In which instance would I use the 80#? Will one dry or heat emboss better that you know of? Thx😬 Man I really like that little SSS t-ruler🤗

I do. I use the 80 when I am dry embossing with stencils. I find I get a better impression. OR, when I'm going to stamp and fussy cut an image. The 80lb is easier to cut out!

Most of the time layered stencil sets are numbered and the numbers are etched right onto the plastic!

Wait, yellow mixed with green makes blue??? Blue is a primary color, blue is mixed with other colors to make tertiary color, and so on. Yellow mixed with green makes yellow-green. Am I crazy?

Unfortunately that type of respirator only protects against particles. According to the CDC, they "do not protect against chemicals, gases, or vapors, and are intended only for low hazard levels."

Hey Leslie! I have no control over what ads they share but… I do occasionally place ads in the middle of videos as this is also supporting the work i do here on the channel. This is my full time job, so ad revenue is part of the puzzle.
