Important lesson on preventative maintenance. When in doubt, change it out! I should have had a fresh clutch cable on this quad but instead I snapped the original 20 miles from the truck. Fun ride back!

Trails looked nice. Going to croom next weekend. New rebuilt on the banchee is dialed in. Suspension feels good on the local whoops.

It's a 180 dollar ticket, I know because I got one for doing that just 2 weeks ago east of Big Scrub. What trailhead section was that? Looked like decent track.

Well that would have been the cherry on top 🙂. I was expecting to come across one. They are usually pretty understanding if something is wrong with your bike and you are limping it back to the truck. One ranger followed me on NFS13 from big scrub back to centennial a couple years ago and actually thanked me for going slow and staying to the side of the road. He knew either I or my quad was in trouble. And I was in some serious pain as was my quad lol. That section in the video was just a few miles from the centennial trailhead.

Thanks, I'm gonna have to check that area out. So far I've hit the Wandering Wiregrass (more for bikes, narrow with deep whoops) and Rodman Reservoir. Rodman wasn't too bad once you got to the actual ATV trails, the main drag is pretty churned up from sxs but the atv only stuff was tight, flat and twisty with good berms.... might be a bit far for you though. Thanks for the content man, I like seeing stuff from around here. 👍

I would have kept riding but that's me. Sick quad tho!

That's cuz your a straight baller bruh! We already had a solid 3 hours of riding in. And we had a lot of fairly deep water crossings to go through and it's very difficult to do so without being able to modulate the clutch. Call it a day, replace cable, and pick back up another day. If I was at a track or closed course I would have kept going as I'm pretty proficient in shifting without a clutch 😉

Patrick on your 250r what kind of fuel filter are you using? I tried the one rocky mountain sells. They are clear with some kinda bronze metal pieces inside. My pilot jets got clogged when I went to croom 2 weeks ago. I heard not to use filters with the paper elements if using 2stroke oil? What do you think?
@PatrickRiggs332 жыл бұрын
No filter, not a good idea in my opinion especially on a Banshee. They really restrict fuel flow especially at wide open throttle you will run the risk of going lean. If your petcock is in good shape the portion that protudes into the gas tank will have a screen/mesh type material over it that does a great job of filtration. If you are really concerned about the fuel I would get a filter/funnel so you can filter the gas as you pour it into your tank.

@@PatrickRiggs33 okay that's what I was told. "Not a good idea for having filters" I'm going to need to pre filter it then. Other than that the bike was great. i babied it because it's new motor and my first ride in long time. Hands and forearms where sore for 3 days. Lol. Matt B. Did a great job on the elka suspension. Going through the whoops was amazing. Was putting a hurting on the 450 guys 🤣🤣🤣 I appreciate you giving me his info. He does great work 👍

@@PatrickRiggs33 actually going through the whoops was not amazing. It was ( MAGICAL ) 450 guys were like how are you doing that 🤣
