Occy just has the sweetest soul

Very cool. He doesn't come across as holier than thou. He admits he creates trash etc but just tries to do his best to make the world a better place. We can all learn a lot from Dave.

this ranks up there with one of my favorite occ casts ever, maybe my favorite. occ is really hitting his stride. This one had such a nice flow, with Occ asking good questions but really just letting Rastovich go with it. He has such a mellow mesmerizing voice and so many interesting tales. And so nice to have the video clips mixed in now too. Loved what he had to say about free surf vs. competition, like no judgement at all, noting how competition can be magic at times, even if it wasn't his thing-was nice to hear him acknowledge what jjf did at margaret river. Really enjoyable!

Very humble interview from Rasta. It's so true though surfing is a beautiful past-time we are so lucky as surfers but it's a pretty selfish pursuit at the same time. There is more meaning in serving our fellow humans in whatever way we can and to help each other and our planet. One love, one heart :)

So many people into trying to help save our planet don't have a voice because we're not "famous" etc. We're working bloody hard at it but the media pays us no attention. So it really is fantastic that Dave's voice and actions are picked up by media, it makes all us ignored environmentalists so proud of your actions. Keep up the awesome work loving our planet Dave, we all appreciate every bit of exposure you can give our causes!!! Peace brother...

rastovich interviews the way he surfs--so creatively and smoothly. the only thing i was sorry to hear him say was when he kind of dinged himself for "just" surfing all those years instead of doing activism. To me the arts --which i include surfing like his in--are as important as activism in their own way. a michelangelo is no less than a jane goodall.

I bought one of the Greenough step rail boards (9’) back in the early 90’s. Rode it at 6-8 ft Big Drakes and I’ll never forget that first ride. Kept riding it for years at Razors and big Cojo. That board was screaming down the line! Still have it… hanging on the wall. Awesome shape!

Every time I lose perspective and get stressed about some irrelevant stuff, I watch this podcast. Rasta is such an inspiration.
