i enjoy these so much. it's just like total immersion in a wonderful vibe. i don't know how occy does it, but he just creates such a warm atmosphere. people become so relaxed around him , they become engaged in a conversation more than being "interviewed". mick is certainly an interesting person. even though he does not express a lot of emotion, it was great to see him open up about something like feeling his brother might be presen with him at times, or that he is so enjoying being free this year. i think it really makes you realize what a constraint being on tour is , even if it's fun too. like every second of your life really is controlled. i hope the occ-casts keep on rolling. there should be a way to get more press for them. i have subscribed but don't get email notices, which would be good. and for awhile the wsl was promoting the cast--haven't seen it there lately. hopefully word will just keep spreading to get a large viewership, or maybe some of the surf mags will do articles about it.

There's a great Myth Busters ep where they research what colours sharks bite more than others, yep it was 'yum yum yellow' and reflective silver. I stopped going for sunset swims in my yellow bikini at Bronte after I discovered this - eeek!

Super! Mick is really a spiritual, great guy. It took me a while to really appreciate everything about Mick, but now, I certainly do. What a fantastic example for The WSL and the sport of Surfing. Interesting about The Shark.Now I ride only red boards because I saw a documentary a long time ago by Jacques Cousteau about sharks and yellow wetsuits or red wetsuits, and the sharks went for the yellow every time:( I also think Occy does a great job!
