I am a psychotherapist specialising (among other things) with a generally unrecognised, but very real and particularly nasty, form of OCD called Retroactive Jealousy (RJ).This lecture was very helpful and a lot of the points made about OCD in general would, in some aspects, apply even more strongly with RJ. Thank you very much for posting this.

There are many types of OCDs and a few types of trauma. Childhood trauma may lead to OCD, almost all avoidance OCD is related to either childhood trauma or trauma triggers.

I have ocd. 100 percent of all ,y intrusive thoughts and I would say the worst intrusive thoughts I've ever had, which have been raping my mind for more than a year involve my father and are connected to creepy and disturbing experiences involving him.

There is always hope for you. God is with you in your pain. He sees you and is closer than your breath. I know it is hard to believe that but Jesus can do the impossible. I bless you friend. Hang on and continually cry out to God. Call on His name. Joel 2:32 The Lord God made you and has a plan for your life that has a good future and hope. Jeremiah 29:11 I am sorry for this agony. You will get through this. And here for prayer if you would like some.

Try water fasting it will heal your brain from ocd like it's doing with me, try the long water fasts 48 water fasting is what showed me that my ocd can heal on its own if I get my bad habits out of the way of my body trying to heal

I think so _ like ducks we imprint very quickly to our environment for survival -all unconscious in first 7 years _ it's etched in stone in your nervous system _ we are neuroplastic and we can learn to rewire and relearn _ our brains _ even the trauma brain is a miracle _ if you heal your trauma becomes a super power _ keep on keeping on

I don't know if it's possible to heal consciously, but what I know is the brain can heal it self if you get out of its way, try water fasting first as a start to understand what I'm saying, research it and try it, water fasting for 48 hours eliminated all my ocd symptoms and it comes back when I eat bad food now I'm eating a healthy diet and I'm getting better in ways I couldn't imagine
