I arrested a Tammy once. She shoplifted for 2 years and got away with it, cause no one would suspect the fancy, friendly, rich white lady who drives a cadillac. Oh was a crazy bust! Top of the line comforters, food processors, jewelry. She made sure to stay away from electronics which is highly surveilled.

@@sanctusignis9746 she definitely did it for the thrill. There were a lot of incidences where she would spot me, then purchase everything in her cart. $2,000 bill. It took a lot of planning to finally catch this woman. She was even a highly respected lady in her community. Definite thrill seeker.

This whole scene could have been shot/cut so much better. For example, with Awkwafina's scene they could have kept the cards in shot throughout the game of three-card-monty for the viewers to follow while watching, so the reveal of her scam hits harder. Also the transitions could have been snapier, with a better flow from one character introduction to the next.

This is an hilarious movie. I loved all the Oceans movies, but I have to say that this is the BEST ! Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett both of whom are 50 ( + ) years old, look fantastic ! Their are some little jolts of " oh yeahs" throughout the movie but you won't get them if you aren't old enough or have a good memory. For example, cameo's by Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue who the movie The Devil Wears Prada was based on as well as actresses Marlo Thomas and Elizabeth Ashley ( a favorite of mine). Some of the one liners are some of the best I have heard in years. The story is really interesting and weaves a heist in truly ingenious ways. The close to the ending is really imaginative.

😂 I've 1st hand witnessed numerous Asian Americans who organically speak "American English" in the AAVE style. Several of them don't even realize it isn't considered "proper" English because it is easier to pick up since it's more frequently used in music, media, entertainment, and casual conversation. So to them it's the "normal" manner of speaking. People need to get out of their own sphere of reference and consider the full context before assuming there's an appropriation occurring. 🤣🤣🤣

I never totally understood. In the garage, is she a hoarder? Using that stuff as a front when moving things? Or just resells? Ik shes a fence but she said she retired?

Am I wrong in assuming 9ball and her sister are basher's children?
@abm53963 жыл бұрын
Basher was British, so I think the accents would've been a little different.

That would be hilarious. If he had children with someone non British and that was them lol

Usually I’m not about feminism in movies because they way the are presented is cringe, but they did such a great job with this one. I really enjoyed it....

This movie has nothing to do with feminism though 💀

coming from a feminist this movie has nothing to do with feminism. Its simply just a women cast.
@user-lr2un2ge1h3 жыл бұрын
there isn't anything "sjw" in this movie i guarantee you. its just women. that's it. nobody have problems with an all male cast, so the otherwise should be okay too.

Selling a 100+ million dollar piece of art is basically harder than stealing it in today's world. That's always been approaching true even in the past which is why some famous thefts are eventually recovered unsold because sometimes they just can't be. Even the Mona Lisa couldn't be sold on the black market... in 1911. :) Knowing this puts a different sometimes destructive spin on the enjoyment of many heist movies.

Specifically Tammy is a “fence” someone who takes smuggled and stolen goods and then puts them through a legitimate operation like a business or charity and cleans them up by “laundering” them so that they can be sold on the white market mixed with legally bought items. That’s why Amita (Mindy Kaling) asks Debbie if she wants to “run stuff through the store” indicating her jewelry store is a place where they have laundered stolen goods before, probably with Tammy’s help. She also seems to act as the fixer of the operation, being on the ground when the heist is going down and dealing with any issues that occurs that could interfere.
