I ranked my favorite 25 songs from the Octopath Traveler soundtrack.

this kind of games diserve to appear in GOTYs i love so much the Octopath Traveler Saga, ty for this compilation.

My biggest gripe with the game is, at how disconnected the characters feel from each other. And the pain of leveling the two characters that had to duel enemies. It's a wonderful game, with a really nice fighting system (reminded me heavily of bravely default). wonderful artdirection and good music that was more complex than your standard game-music. But the game felt too much like a slog and the overall story a bit simple for me to consider it top tier. But maybe a nomination for music or artstyle could have been possible.

It was nominated for best soundtrack in 2018 Game Awards, but it was beaten out by God of War. God of War's soundtrack is also great, but I disagree with that result!

Very well chosen top list. I love Octopath Traveler 1 and 2. For me, these two games have the best video game soundtracks of all time. I hope you also make a top list for the second one. 😊Greetings from Germany.

Buen top. Desde que jugué Octopath en 2018 se volvió de mis juegos favoritos por jugabilidad y la música. Fue de las pocas razones por las que valía la pena comprarse una Switch.

I'm playing through OT now. I'm almost halfway finished with it and enjoying it so far. The music is incredible. I hear OT2 is even better so I'm looking forward to that next. Thank you for this.

the soundtrack is truly beautiful, but I just about leapt out of my skin in the transition between 14 and 13. Update now that I got to the end: *THREE CERTIFIED BANGERS FOR THE TOP THREE SONGS, HECK YEAH*

I'm playing Octopath 2 as well! I definitely will do an ost ranking for it eventually. Right now I'm wrapping up the Kingdom Hearts series rankings, and then I plan to fill the holes in the Zelda and Fire Emblem series I haven't finished yet. So in short, yes but it may be a while!

I love the area themes in this game so much, but the fight music is also immaculate, and I tend to gravitate toward good high-energy music just a little more

Ah, a list of great octopath music. But is 25 really River of life? River of life is at 15. Also, number 4 sounds more like battle 3

The whole soundtrack has over twice the number of songs in this list 🤣 , even without those under a minute 😂 Also you are free to go and make your own list if you have other favorites lol

When I rank a soundtrack, I listen through all of it and pull out every song I think is good. Then I go back through and rank them and cull out any I don't think are worthy. Then when I make the video, I cut it off at the biggest drop-off in quality that lines up with a multiple of 5. I actually ranked 35 Octopath tracks out of 85 in the ost because the soundtrack is just that good!
