I got him. I absolutely LOVE him. I realize they were not going for MP size/scale - but MAN! if they did, he would NAIL it 100% The all in one is CRAZY! Well Done. Yes, He/They have their Drawbacks, however, they HIT it out of the Park in both the 'Bot & 'Alt modes. Looking forward to their Defensor/Protectobots!

Iv had him combined on my shelf for several weeks now. Iv added the upgrade kit purely as I had the toy as a kid and it’s very nostalgic. I agree that the ratchets at the shoulders hips and knees are not as strong as they should be, however for a first attempt with all in one I think it’s great. MMC have always been good at learning from previous releases so I’m confinement that their Defensor will have stronger ratchets. The design of torso mode onslaught is similar to GT Motormaster t combiner suffered the same issue, and if you look at it it’s the same type of system used in the G1 combiners, so I think it either needs to be solidified more or redesigned in how the crotch and hips are formed. I appreciate that it has issues but for me he just shouts G1 toy Bruticus more than any other company’s version and I love that, but I know that’s a subjective view. The only time I might consider swapping would be if FT did a Bruticus which I’m sure they will do at some point

I own the Zeta for combined mode (quality is what you'd expect... not great) because I think that it looks the best, but I'm also leaning toward MMC for individual robots. What you said about MMC learning from their mistakes is funny because what I wish they would learn is to not do the all-in-one for combiners and add parts-forming. That seems to be something that so many people love about it, but especially with them releasing an upgrade kit to help fix some of the problems people had, I really don't get why a pelvis or hip piece wouldn't work for this guy.

Great review. The price of this thing really kills it though. The fact that he's smaller than other offerings doesn't really make it worth it. The Zeta may not have the best bot modes, but it's much bigger combined and is half the price of the MMC.

I'd also add that Zeta has some pretty severe quality issues with their set too though. The flimsiness on Vortex is just ridiculous. A longer screw(s) in a few spots would've solved a lot of issues.

Always appreciate your level headed reviews. Having both Zeta and now finally MMC's In hand. Its not even close MMC's engineerin...🤯. The only thing Zeta has is scale and stability due to a plastic partsforming brick.. which is totally fine by the way. MMC is just pure fun. Bot mode, vehcile mode and combined mode all incredible. Great to have options

I think it’s perfect, scale in combine mode i think is accurate in comparison to Jets or construction vehicles, should be smaller, great review

Good review and nice touch with showing where the accessories can be attached to in combiner mode. This Bruticus is a really good attempt and the engineering is very good for the individual Bots. Unfortunately Zeta got the formula right for a MP combiner. This is still a awesome set to have for Bot modes and better than the UT Bruticus. Thanks again for the review. 👍🏼

TMReviews I am considering the same but a problematic combined mode on a combiner has me leaning towards selling the whole set. It may not be worth keeping knowing that I will most likely replace it once FT or another company gives it a go. It is nice to have options.

TMReviews I feel the same. And honestly I hope they don’t. I would really like to see other combiners get the MP treatment besides Bruticus, Devy, Predaking, Superion. And we definitely have enough choices for Menasor!

We have 3 choices for bruticus, MMC Assaults, Zeta Toys Bruticon regular or Metallic.

i think one word you use sums it up really "unforgiveable" i'm sorry people cut mmc far to much slack, the whole blastoff rachet thing is a joke in my opinion, you're telling me mmc thought i know we'll use the same rachet in vortex and blastoff despite blastoff being heavier and larger lol thats basic engineering 101 right there, i'm so glad i didn't commit to this set i'd be so damn cheesed off if i did

To be fair the individual bots are very well done and all the hardware is excellent individually, it just doesn't work when combined
