Me personally, i don't dig this track too much, it's good, don't get me wrong, but idk, i just don't find it as memorable as, for example, Thor's or Baldur's themes. However, 27:50 that whole part is BRILLIANT, i really wish Odin's theme was more structured around that melody because it's definitely the best highlight of the whole song

If any track could do justice to the Allfather, both mighty and cunning, this comes the closest to that standard of any I've heard. Too bad Heimdall is the only major Aesir antagonist who didn't really have a unique theme.

Kinda deserved to not have a theme as he didn’t serve much importance. Don’t get me wrong, they wrote his character so damn well, and he was MEANT to be cocky and hated. I despised him, but that’s what makes his character so good

I personally liked it when he said, "It wasn't my choice... I had no choice." He was sort of sad about Thor dying, I think. Like, he treated him like crap all his life, but there's a sort of, slightly pitiful sorrow in his voice when Atreus confronts him for killing his own son. Like, "Oh, no... he's actually gone. But, you see, son, I had to keep him mean, angry, and strong, so he'd be there to deal with my enemies, once shit goes south. And I was afraid he actually might have tried to kill me.", or something like that, LOL, I dunno, just obviously a personal take.

@@liamroberts1458 Odin is the quintessential planner that breaks down once he’s faced with his wrongdoings. When someone confronts him, like with Sif in Niflheim, he starts sputtering out random excuses. “I didn’t make that choice, I had no choice.” is the same as every excuse he gave Sif in Niflheim and Thor in his study. Odin has 0 empathy as much as I love him as a villain (Edit: besides his ravens)

@@ArkhamverseJoker I think he dismantled Sif pretty well in Niflheim. He handled that with authority and actually told the truth to her (even though he did goad Thor into drinking again.). It was only when he'd truly lost everything that he had nowhere to go and got desperate in his excuses.
