I luv mine, I’ve never thrown it due to I don’t want to buy a new handle. I stripped the cheep coating off mine, sanded it and drowned it with linseed oil and luv it. It’s sharp enough I can clean branch’s off are Kansas cedar trees while out making shelters. I give one away every year at my gathering and folks luv them. Keep up the kick A$$ videos my friend

If i remember correctly; the Russian infantry shovel is also a measurement tool. Ttal length exactly 50 centimeter (half a meter). Length of the blade 20 centimeter, width of the blade 15 centimeter. Hopefully Cold Steel kept the dimensions.

I recently bought this shovel and was really impressed with the quality of the components and of the construction. I immediately ordered the larger, much more capable Spetznaz Trench Shovel to go with my Special Forces Shovel, and it too is of excellent quality. Both shovels came sharpened on three sides and either will be an asset to have. The weight isn't an issue for me as I carry it on a folding bicycle or Packraft when outdoors. The practicality, versatility and capability of these shovels are exceptional, and they may be relied on with absolute confidence.

Thanks for the awesome review. I think that I just found my new crystal digging shovel. I seen these on EBay for a decent price.

I enjoy the larger version Trench shovel I use in the backyard and vehicle camping, I prefer to carry the Russian Titanium model when backpacking super lightweight and just as tough at least so far it has been, (also cold steel case fits it perfectly)

@@OdinswolfSurvival thanks. i have a 1950’s era East German shovel, it has a sharpened edge. Non-folding type it seems like a holdover from WW2 , it has a 🦇 bat makers mark - there’s a short video on my page
