Odyssey Battery - Hot vs Cold Starts on my C6 Z06

6 жыл бұрынTesting my new Odyssey 1200 battery under hot and cold conditions on my C6 Z06. Overall I'm very happy with the performance and cranking power of this battery. It's not cheap by any means but if it means I won't get stranded or have to wait for my car to cool off in order for it to crank over, it's worth every penny!

On a Facebook forum I saw someone change the cable from the fuse box to the starter to a welding cable and that solve their hot starting issue. Is that something you've tried?

F Torres I’ve heard that too and it sounds like a very promising fix if your starter wires are going bad or getting too hot. Haven’t tried it though. I got under my car and checked my starter and wires and they were like new.

@@ZWHOA6Productions well I already changed the starter, also have a heat shield, the alternator and battery are new so I'm going to try this wire change. If that doesn't work I'm going with the Odyssey battery. I've learn a few things from watching your videos. Thank you for the info 👍

F Torres these starter issues are so hard to debug. My starter wasn’t awful but after the heads and cam it cranked slower and I just wanted to make sure I never got stranded. The battery seemed to help my specific situation but it may not for others. Good luck my friend!

Nope. The Odyssey weighs a few pounds more than OEM but the starting power is more important to me!
