Hi folks, just wanted to comment as a paramedic: Spiral staircases are awesome...until you have to call the ambulance. Then they become a formidable barrier. Please consider a conventional staircase as your primary one. BTW, I love your location!
@ColoradoMountainLiving5 жыл бұрын
The spiral staircase won't be our primary stairs. It just goes to the loft of the current build. Thanks for the suggestion.

Amazing view. Their home is going to be spectacular when finished. I couldn't imagine how physically hard it would be to build a home at such a high altitude. Good people can accomplish anything when their hearts are in the right place 😃 wooooo!

The humidity is sooo low! The thin air is hard on the car but you get the injectors changed and it’s fine! I lived off grid in the mountains just 10 miles as the crow flies but 22 miles from winter park! I’m a musician and the first night playing and singing I realized I’d have to totally change my breathing! At 95k feet the air was so thin it was hard to light a fire!

Amen to that...I play and sing too..and you'll be out of breath quick..and loose ur voice too!

Beautiful. But even though the air is clean, just not enough of it, for me. lol I too, would be so out of breath. I don't know how you ever get used to that high altitude. Just the change in pressure would be something to adjust too.

Man, I'll bet you struggled at that altitude. I used to go amateur astronomical observing when I lived in SoCal, and we would always seek high elevation because, in addition to being dark, there is less atmosphere to interfere with seeing dim objects. We made a couple of trips to a place where we were right at the treeline, which was 11,000 feet. I was in pretty good shape at the time (not just compared to now), and I would get short of breath walking 50 feet, level. We didn't even bother with sunscreen. We wore long pants, long sleeves, a hat, and bandanas on our faces.

Josh, Bang a drum by Chris Deoux & Jon Bon Jovi . Good tunes man we have similar taste in music. I'm surprised you didn't get demonetized for posting a royalty free of music how do you do it ? I put my wife's new Jeep compass and a review and they demonetize my video. Atlantis Morrissette yesterday I'm confused how do you get away with it is it a certain amount of seconds ? Anyways hello to Amy and Brian . Timber frames are nice probably the best. That's with Jessie and Alyssa have pure living for life with electricity LOL 😂. Stop ✋ number 5 . Looking forward to the rest of this exciting series. General repair

Once I save up enough money I'm going totally off grid. I'm sick of the power company charging me for power I don't even use. I turned everything off in my house except the fridge/freezer for two weeks and my bill for that month still went up. Plus they send their tree trimming goons who do nothing but mess up my fields with their trucks. Been putting up with their crap for WAY too long.

good luck getting paid from power companys for solar or windpower it cost money to hook to a grid
@jennyfox13984 жыл бұрын
Homesteading and living off-grid is great. I absolutely encourage it however, Colorado is one of the worst states for off-grid living. Land costs, building a home all are extremely high. Soil quality is very poor making farming exceptionally hard. Natural resources are slim as the majority of forest is pine. If you are actually serious and thinking of homesteading or living off-grid pay a quarter of the cost, have more resources available to you and make farming easier buy land in TN, AL, NC, SC, KT, KS, MO, AK. you can can 5x as much land in those states with better soil.
