Lindsay & I built our Dream Off-Grid Tiny House/Riverside Cabin using Reclaimed Materials from a 12x16 dilapidated Chicken Coop that was on our property. Here is the complete Build using the GoPro for Timelapse. We built this Off Grid Tiny house (Cabin) in just 16 days. Special Thanks to Joe Perry, Ginger VanAntwerp and others who helped on the project. The perfect Off Grid DIY Tiny House.

Shouldn't you help your wife moving stuff in in stead of sitting on a couch.

😂 One thing about living in a tiny house is that two people can’t be working inside at the same time… Lol but I did wonder how many people would catch that. I tried to speed up the time lapse for that section :-) can’t believe you’re the first comment I’ve had about it. In all seriousness… Thanks so much for watching!

We had a 2400 square-foot house we sold last August. Three is OK, but Six people might be a little crowded for a tiny house… 😂

It's very practical for now however once Lincoln grow up, the loft will be too low for him & having his own room will be great even if it's small n simple. However, I hope to see videos on tiny house extension which not many people have it as they will hv 2 tiny houses instead of 1 whole unit of tiny house expanded. Look forward to more projects👍❤️

Really liked that you reused the old windows! Everybody tears them out and trashes them. Wood sash windows and doors to me just look right on a cabin. I get that vinyl and steel doors are prob more energy efficient and easier to install and such, but the look of wood sashes really can't be beat. I have a bunch of them and wood doors myself that I want to use on my cabin build.

This is great! Thanks for sharing most of the steps and making it feel like an obtainable goal which I could pretty much do myself! Personally I wouldn’t consider it as a permanent place to live. It’s absolutely the perfect little home for putting up on a cottage lot and I’d make a large wrap around, partially covered deck for more outside living space. After all, when you’re living in the woods, on a lake, the only time you should be inside in when it’s raining or when you’re sleeping. So it’s perfect for that!

I love it! I'm renovating a 100 year old balloon frame home that didn't have sheathing or house wrap and there were no mold issues. I ripped it down to the studs. Framing and construction fascinate me. I love this downsize. Great job!

This is awesome but I need to ask...why no house wrap? Seems to be a risk as the wood warps overtime and developes gaps to let the moisture in.

Tip for your heating problem. Install a ceiling fan, they have a directional switch that you can set to blow air upwards so the heat is forced down the walls or just set a box fan to blow upwards would work as well. Worked for me when i was living in a studio apt with an open floor plan, was always to hot upstairs... after switching the fan direction it got cold upstairs keeping the heat downstairs.

Great idea… check out the next video, we upgraded the exhaust fans. We are running everything off grid, so we have to be pretty cautious as to what we use. Ceiling fan unfortunately draws too much energy. We did come up with a solution that works out great though.

Cool loft area. I think a slim window for the loft would have been awesome to give him nice light and fresh air on a nice evening/morning. I know it's a small space but I would love a barn sliding door for the bathroom instead of the curtain just for better privacy. Are you going to put a roof over that beautiful porch? You did an awesome job!!! Love it!
