What is going on?!
Summer wheeling season if officially on! Although the truck has a few more modifications to come for this year, I think we are ready for the 2024 season. Kicking things off my wife our puppy Bucky and I headed back to a hidden gem of a trail I came across hiking with my family on mothers day. Most trails in our area are usually a two plus hour drive away but this one is only about one hour, not bad. Well worth the drive if you ask me. Nothing crazy technical by any means it's just the "drop" factor that may get to you on some of these narrow ridges. As always if you have not already, give this video a like, subscribe to the channel and join us on our next adventure!
Enjoy The Ride,
Nick

Subscribed ! Reminds me of a trail I did once on my way to Chumash Casino with my wife. Love the truck!

Your tires look like 35s no point getting bigger ones. Are those mud terrain or AT? Sick truck man

16 would be fine, arguably better, especially at those speeds. Bombing down an fsr, air up a bit for sure. I have the same tires, same size. Love them and they look great, never had so many comments from strangers about this until these 🤘🏻 Nice drive and video

Good to know! I ran them at 15 PSI on my Mud Terrains in Colorado but there was literally no one else up there on this trail. Wanted to be safe! Love the Mickey T's though easily my favorite tire to date! Thank you.

Cool video and trail! Was the trail hard and how many miles? Thanks

This is a very beginner trail at least as it was when we went. Looks like it just opened and was recently graded. It was about 16 miles out and back!

Airing down question: Is it for comfort or traction? My suspnstion is not plush and would consider airing down. That trail is a 2 WD road?
@quicksendtaco
@quicksendtaco 3 ай бұрын
Great questions, It's probably 50% for comfort and 50% for the safety of the trucks components. I never used to air down now I wouldn't run any trail without doing it. It basically adds a second layer of suspension. Turns into a whole new vehicle. It is possible in 2wd but bring recovery gear I can definitely see you getting hung up on some spots if you don't have a locker.

Are those factory mirrors with blind spot monitoring and separate mirror?
@quicksendtaco
@quicksendtaco 3 ай бұрын
Yessir they have blacked out turn signals and spotter mirrors! All factory functions still work.

It was, super mellow some fast sections and then on the back side had some steeper sections as well so it was. Definitely one I'll be doing again this summer!

Looks like you probably would have been fine with normal tire pressure? I just leave my tires at 28 PSI all the time and I drive on roads like that a few days a week. What are your thoughts? Absolute dream of a view, I'd love to run up that road too!

Ended up being a long day. I can see why you aired down. Cheers!

Yeah I mean you never really “need” to air down unless you’re really rock crawling. Most of the time it’s all for comfort and just in case we run into something not expected. But yeah mellow trail for sure. My brother does a lot of trail running and he went up the next weekend and loved it.

Thanks man, this is an off shoot off of the main road called Figueroa Mountain Road. If you hit the Figueroa Mountain Campground you have gone too far. keep in mind that this trail is basically a full day endeavor.
