I did this for the first time around 2017 and I loved it. What an awesome trail with lots of fun without feeling like you’re gonna die either.

What a nice video. So much work filming the exterior shots. And it's well worth it to me, seeing is believing for obstacles!

I'll pass that compliment on to my 13 year old son. When I'm on an official run, I don't want to slow things up by filming. So I'd say roughly 80% of the footage was him jumping out of Grandpa's Jeep and filming with the go-pro outside. So this video credit is all on him for taking the initiative to get that footage for me.

Very cool video, I love seeing the past year comparisons. Did I read that correctly your lx470 land cruiser got a rear locker? I am very interested in your review of the locker and as always look forward to seeing your next video.
@ForgottenWaypoints
@ForgottenWaypoints 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I recently had Cruiser Outfitters install the ARB rear locker and ARB compressor. I have another walk-around review of my LX planned on the schedule (if only real life didn't get in the way!) as I've added a few upgrades since the last time I reviewed the rig.

Awesome video! So a 4-door Bronco Badlands (not Sasquatch, so 33”) will do fine?

How experienced are you?? I'd take one! If you are inexperienced, grab a good spotter and have rock sliders!

@@ForgottenWaypoints thanks! Due to time constraints and visits to the national parks (already watched your tower arch trail video which we are definitely doing), I might have to choose between this and Hells Revenge. Which would you recommend? I have moderate experience, and I wouldn’t plan on doing Hells Gate’s or any of the optional obstacles there.
@ForgottenWaypoints

@@VictorDeveze , your version of hells is how I like to take it. If you want to play with the Bronco's toys, tip toe behind hells is a blast. If you value scenery over the Wheeling, I prefer tower arch in that case. It is easier. Both are awesome, it's just what you are looking for that will decide.

Great video! Do you think a 2 door stock JL Willys can get through this damage free :)?
@ForgottenWaypoints
@ForgottenWaypoints Ай бұрын
Absolutely!! Obviously, skill plays a role, but the short wheelbase JL won’t be what trips you up! Sounds like an awesome ride!! There might be spots where you’ll want to take the bypass and/or use a spotter due to smaller tires. Be careful and you should be fine.

@@ForgottenWaypoints 2inch lift? Do u have any rub at all?
@ForgottenWaypoints
@ForgottenWaypoints 4 ай бұрын
@@damiansmith391, It's a 2.5" lift. The Icon wheels give me a good offset. I have to hammer the pinch weld to clear the 33.8s, and sometimes I get a minor rubbing at full lock on the passenger side. It's not rubbing on the body, but the plastic liner that you have to use a heat gun to push back after hammering the pinch weld. I must not have done a good job on that one. I need to pin it back, but I just deal with it. I believe with adjustable upper control arms I could eliminate it altogether, but it's not enough of an issue for me to spend the $$ on it.

@@ForgottenWaypoints so 2inch lift will not fit a 34-35inch tires without rub eh?
@ForgottenWaypoints
@ForgottenWaypoints 4 ай бұрын
@smith391, not without cutting. Check out Tinkerer's Adventure video on Toyota IFS. While ours is a bit different with torsion bars, the fitting section still applies: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZxoe8ZprNqwm6M.htmlsi=ND3fG2JfBaBaG2Pc Quite honestly, you get better performance the LESS lift you have up front. I actually lowered the front of my LX by 1"+ compared to my earlier videos and I've been more impressed having additional droop than lift.
