Hey Marco, I like how you deal with such a sensitive topic in this particular clip and your responses to some of the comments regarding Angeles City. Re sensitive topic: I could bang on about problems associated with poverty and how this is being abused in the Phillipines, just for these people to survive on a day-to-day basis; but I won't, you have done this in this clip from a sensible and intelligent manner, if you read between the lines (excuse the pun). Champagne is my favourite bar....older style and still Western style. Mind you I probably go bar hopping about once every 3 months now......been here too long to find it a novelty. The reason that I still live here is that no matter what day or what hour, when you feel like going out to party or going to eat there is always somewhere open......unlike back in Aussie where you can really only go out Friday or Saturday night and between 9pm and 3am.

100 pesos is the standard fare for shorter trike rides in Angeles.....price inflation compared to provinces as there are so many foreigners around....so prices are always higher. I have lived in Angeles for 15 years.

First time viewer here Marco and great to see an aussie vlogger getting around the Phils. I'm sure you're a seasoned traveller but was that your first time to Angeles? Got to say mate - taking a pretty lady to AC is like selling ice to the eskimos. And checking out girlie bars I'm sure wouldn't be high on your girl's list of things to do on a road trip. And yes the Blue Boar Inn does have a certain rustic charm. But eventhough the people there are lovely and the food is good - really mate if you absolutely must go to Angeles - throw down a few more bucks and get something with a nice pool yes? Your girl would appreciate it for a start. On the upside - very nice what you did with the street kids. The government there are doing sweet F A for them that's for sure.

The pictures on the cigarette boxes would be great in the U.S. but would not be allowed, too graphic of what can happen. But I don't think smokers care what might happen, it won't be them. One of our Filipino workers said " you can stop me from eating but you can't stop me from smoking ". The smoking got him, died earlier then he should have because of the damage to his lungs.

Because it’s an American brand they will not use that kind of picture warning on cigarette boxes in America. but abroad they do, and people still want to smoke even if they will get affected by cancer due they think life is short, and want to enjoy it before they die.

We Filipinos don't have a concept of a separate "Western name" and "Asian name". The name we are given at birth is what we go by. Often, our actual first names are already Western to begin with (Spanish for older folk and English for the younger folk), while surnames are either Spanish, Filipino, or Filipinized Chinese. So there's no need for a "separate Western name" cause typical Filipino names are already Westernized. A typical Filipino name would be: - Mark dela Cruz - John Marasigan - Maria Cristina Uy

That vendor selling items on the street is not telling truth about laws in Philippines. Flick knives are not legal in the Philippines because they are considered a hand weapon and are prohibited along with other knives, swords, and bayonets. Anyone found guilty of possessing a prohibited knife can face a fine of at least 200 pesos and up to 2,000 pesos, or imprisonment of at least one month and up to one year, or both.

The Philippines it’s identical to a four-world country, and nobody cares about the law over there unless someone has committed a major crime like killing or arms robbery. But now it’s become safer when the new president took over. Better to stay in tourist places, and use common of sense in the Philippines.
