Omg my middle child in 2010!!! I didn’t even have to tell him to knock!! He did it himself. It is one of my best memories that’s connected to him. I told my boys that they can touch whatever they want. Which they did. Thank you Walt for including the consequences when you touch something that MAYBEEEE you shouldn’t 😆 watching my kids jump in so many locations was so much fun!!

The problem with the Swiss Family Tree House is that the walkway is so narrow, and you can’t really stop to look at anything unless you’re there like right before park closing. Most of the time you’re just rushing through because you don’t want to be that guy who’s holding up the line.
@OGamerGirl92

Tarzan made that problem worse. I don't think that problem is going to go away anytime soon with the tree house coming back.

I would argue that Disneyland itself, is a walk through attraction. I always feel sorry for those who wear out their shoes running from one ride to the next and don't enjoy all the sights and sounds along the way. Honestly, there have been trips where I spent one day wandering through the park, just ride the train and Mark Twain, and I'll still feel as though I got my money's worth. Bless the Imangineers and everyone involved in all the little extra details that they didn't HAVE to do, but did any way. I do love the Sleeping Beauty walk through, especially on a hot day or a rainy one. I've missed the Swiss Family Treehouse and its Swisskapolka, so am very much looking forward to the new iteration.

There’s just something special about walkthrough attractions in my opinion. Walking thru these areas can be very rewarding and give hidden experiences. I see it as something you have to work thru by walking, but the reward is the experience that you get. It can be anything from a spectacular view to immersive experiences. I think it adds a lot to the lands across various theme parks, not just Disney’s. Hugely underrated aspects of theme parks imo 👍

I LOVE walkthroughs !! The caves at Tom Sawyer’s island and the sleeping beauty castle were my favorite places in Disneyland growing up. Not to mention, the queues of some of the fantasyland dark rides feel like excellent walkthroughs themselves. There’s something so captivating about being able to explore an area yourself, with as much time as you want to discover every little detail. Still sad we can’t explore Lafitte’s tavern or Fort Wilderness 🥲

As I've gotten older, I really love the more quite parts of the parks, like the walk through attractions. Unfortunately as I've gotten older, I also suffer some mobility issues that make walking through those things a bit more challenging. Thankfully a good pair of shoes helps. I look forward to the next video!

As a disneyland paris person, I just adore walkthroughs, theres something so much more immersive about them and taking everything in at your own pace. Can't speak for the other parks but Paris has some real greats, the cave under the castle with the dragon, the pirate caverns of adventureland, the alice in wonderland maze, the nautilus is so spooky and atmospheric you really get a sense of that submarine claustrophobia. GOD I love walkthroughs.

Walk through attractions are amazing and I really think we need more of them. I think the biggest issue facing Disney walkthroughs (at least for the U.S. parks) is the small spaces and narrow paths that can cause us to sort of speed through them without experiencing anything. But I think journey of water is going to change that.

Since childhood, walk-through attractions have been my absolute favorite. It's like walking right into the story/magical land and being able to see all the details in real life and up close. Sure, rides are fun but the immersive walk through are where the real magic is at!

When my wife and I were in Paris and we spent a day at Disneyland without a ton of time. Loved the walkthroughs like the Hedge Maze you mentioned, as well as the Aladdin walkthrough and the amazing Dragon under the castle. They were really fun attractions that required no waiting in long lines and really helped fill out the whole experience. (Especially considering my wife doesn't do well with thrill rides)

In some ways I prefer walkthroughs to rides, I like to stroll and it's a little more immersive. It's been gone for probably close to 30 years now, but the little amusement park in my area used to have a walkthrough haunted house that was *amazing!* It started off with a walk through a vine-covered tunnel (with speakers playing creepy sounds) and I would describe the house itself as "like walking through the set of an old 1950s Hammer movie." There was a werewolf guy in a cage, I think a vampire in a coffin, it was the best. People still talk about it to this day too, it was very memorable and well done.

I remember walking through sleeping beauty’s castle and being enthralled by the story as a kid. I made sure to bring my niece and nephew when we did Disneyland last year and they jumped at the door! One thing I did note though, and the same is true for the treehouse walkthroughs, it’s not very accessible for people with mobility issues. I’, lucky in that I still can walk up and down stairs, but it’s getting more painful to do. That’s why interactive queues are great because they are fun and accessible!

I'm not sure if it counts as a walkthrough or not, but the area behind Japan at Epcot, where they rotate in the exhibitions was always my favorite place to go to get away from everyone for a little while. It didn't hurt that you could get some pocky or wasabi peas from the shop and just chill. Sometimes I'd even take off my shoes and rest my feet back in there.

Tom Sayer's Island is truly a hidden gem. Never really appreciated it until last year when I took my 8 and 5 yr old boys. After 3 and a half days of over stimulation at the parks, they ran and played for hours on TS Island, lost in their own imaginations. It provides an amazing break from the crowds and a place for children to be children. Walt understood that value when he designed the Park. I hope they current management doesn't forget that.

Walk-through attractions were something I definitely remembered about Disneyland Paris - the dragon in the dungeon of the castle and the 20,000 Leagues walk-though among others. Attractions like these are also good to duck into when a rainstorm rolls through - wet shoes are the worst!

Walk throughs can be so cool - especially for those who like to take time with scenes! I love just sitting an watching an animatronic run through its whole loop and get immersed in the awesome details artists put into these sets. Something that recently confirmed this (while not Disney) was going through the Jurassic World Exhibition where they had interactive elements and awesome animatronics - it was like a walk through of the Jurassic World ride! Anyway, really excited for these :>

Fortress Explorations in Tokyo DisneySea is so detailed and creative. There is also an optional interactive scavenger hunt type activity called The Leonardo Challenge that is SO rewarding if you have someone in your party that reads Japanese. If not, it’s still great to walkthrough and explore the area and is the original S.E.A. attraction.

I use to love going to the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse at Magic Kingdom. I didn't get as sick from heights back then so it was fun and there were places you could stop and stand if being that high was to much. One of the best times was around dusk when things were beginning to light up. I've always enjoyed the feeling of walkthrough attractions. There's a simplicity and Americana feeling to them. One of the coolest places, I've ever been was Rock City in Georgia. If a couple can make some caves in a mountain a world famous walkthrough, imagine what Disney should be able to do.

This is a point I've always agreed with, walk-through attractions provide some much needed variety to the sometimes repetitious pacing of theme parks. Everyone knows a current problem with Tomorrowland is that Disney doesn't know what to do with all of the land's tiny convention halls and theaters, but doing walk-through attractions would be a perfect solution. Putting a walk-through spaceship or home of the future in the old alien encounter building would be a great, and possibly very cheap fix. Maybe even throw some moving walkways in there like space mountain's post-show used to have, or that new minions attraction Universal is making.

If you’ve never been to Disneyland Paris and you’re a walkthrough fan, you need to book a trip asap. Such a beautifully landscaped park with amazing walkthroughs. Part of Adventureland is called Adventure Isle which is home to an amazing version of the Swiss family treehouse. Below this you can go through the roots and down into Davy Jones Locker, through to skull rock and out to pirates beach. There’s also a replica of Captain Hooks pirate ship to climb aboard. Also in Adventureland is Le Passage Enchanté d'Aladdin. Fantasyland has Alice’s Curious Labyrinth. Inside the castle, upstairs is a walkthrough story of Sleeping Beauty, whilst downstairs and through the dungeons you will find La Tanière du Dragon. Discoveryland has a walkthrough of the Nautilus though it hasn’t been open in a while. Honestly such a beautiful park and attention to detail is incredible.
