Good clean to understand video, thank you. 6:30, I thought when SPF is set to hard fail, it does not deliver the email, only when set to soft fail it does deliver but then goes to junk folder. I want to make sure I am clear on hard fail vs soft fail. Thank you

whether its soft fail or hard fail i believe the user won't receive emails or it will marked as spam. Please correct . and also I didn't understand the limitation of SPF you mentioned at 7:00 . whatever if spf record doesn't have the sender application IP published on their public domain it will reject right?

Well Explained and Thanks for the lecture. Sir just a doubt about receiving mails. If we just add an smtp domain under accepted domains. will we receive mails even if we don't own the domain. is there any relation to SFP for receiving also to make sure we are authorized to receive mails for the added domain.

You won't be able to add a domain that is not owned by you. The basic requirement to add a domain is TXT record which you won't be able to add with domain registrar since you don't own it. Let's say you have a domain that you own. In order to receive email on that domain address you need to add/validate MX record with domain registrar. Hope this helps.

Hi Priyanshi, relay applications are used to send emails. Like a scanner/printer from where u scan docs and send them in email. Relay applications use server settings to send emails.

TTL is Time To Live value for any DNS record. This value defines the time for DNS server for saving the records in its cache. So that DNS server do not have to always look up for the DNS records of a domain.

Return path is always your mail from address (sender address). If it is different, email will be marked as SPOOF category.
