Always the biggest problem with marching bands on football fields, everyone's instruments are pointing away from half the crowd and shows generally have to be designed for one side of the stadium anyways.

5 years later and yeah, I cry every time. My husband is like "why you cry???" and I just can't explain it. It's the crescendo of emotion, the nostalgia, the hard work, the sweat and tears. It's just over whelming.

My boyfriend wants to go to OSU and was saying they had a great marching band, but it only just now registered that this band is OSU's for me. I've been watching these shows for years now! Easily my favorite college-style marching group (Drum Corps is a different beast entirely).

They just marching in straight lines... The formations are rather easy, it's the holding the instrument properly for the entire show that can be difficult

The choreographer was the mastermind behind making it look real. As a band member, we just got instructions like *start here - move to here - move at this speed* and we practiced over and over until it was memorized.

I’ve seen this video so many times now. I think this happened when I was a freshman in high school marching band, and now I’m graduating college and I still have chills watching the horse. I get actual tears in my eyes. Now when I make fun of OSU (which I’m contractually obligated to do as a Michigander, despite not caring about sports) I always add that their band is incredible.

I actually teared up a bit. I marched in high school all 4 years and had my dream taken from me to further pursue it after high school was over. Any video game fan would enjoy this but when you put these two together.. man i teared up for sure. Love this so much.

I admit, my eyes leaked during the Zelda part. I am a Zelda fan, horse crazy, and band geek alumni. In my early 40's, and band still makes me emotional. Once a band geek, always a band geek. Beautiful performance!
