You guys should add a railcam in San Antonio, TX at Tower 105 and I hope Houston’s residents gets their power back and get recovered from this storm.

Can’t wait for the new camera! You should consider getting a camera in Pacific, Missouri. There’s already a depot with ATCS and the Bnsf Cuba sub and the Jefferson City sub run parallel to each other and Union Pacific get up to 60 miles an hour. It’s the same line that runs by the St Louis camera, it’s about a 30-40 minute drive from STL. Anyways, thank you for all you do!

There is the Emory Gap Yard in Harriman Tennessee in the NS Rathole district. There is a spur line that shoots off to the Kingston TVA steam plant. The mainline averages about 55-65 trains per day.

Add a camera on the line at West Bellfort just west of Stella Link this line has lot of trains train will park on the track often and there is Amtrack Almost daily.

I think a good spot for another Cam would be at the Longview Tx Depot. I've talked with them about they say they would love a cam. The yard sees quite a bit of action with other railroads locomotives mixed in with alot of trains the amount of Heritage units we see come through is also quite high.

I can only hope the reference to the west coast is either the BNSF or UP main lines in the Inland Empire, ie Riverside or San Bernardino Counties.

Once I can find out who runs the Griffith Railroad Society in Griffith Indiana, hopefully a better railcam can be installed at their site, than the Steelhighway Railcam thats already there. It would be nice to see recaps of all of the Canadian National trains that run through there at Broad Street. At that intersection, most trains run on the former EJ&E, and on the Canadian National line east of Broad Street, as most trains are routed around Chicago, if they're going to, or from Wisconsin. Trains needing access to the former Illinois Central lines, have used the former EJ&E since 1997.

@midwesternrail4729 why do you think Steelhighway Railcam is good enough? Both Virtual Railfan and even Livetrains would give this site a lot more exposure, and be included in highlights in KZfaq videos. This is something Steelhighway Railcam does a poor job on. I prefer Virtual Railfan the most, as they've grown, and actually promote railroad events. This might be something Livetrains will do, once the network of railcams go online. 1 railcam is not enough in my opinion. Some sites have more than one. One of Virtual Railfan's cameras in Rochelle Illinois, VR said that this site has 3 different railcam operators operating at one site. I say there's room for another one.

Competing railcam site, Virtual Railfan, won't touch most short lines, as they don't draw the traffic they want. I don't know what the criteria for Livetrains is, for the number of trains in a 24 hour period. VR requires a minimum of 20 trains in a 24 hour period. In NW Indiana, that would immediately exclude the Chicago, Fort Wayne, and Eastern Railroad, as they run at the most, 3 trains a week. This also would exclude the Chesapeake and Indiana, which was created, after CSX was planning to rip out the surviving track between Malden and North Judson Indiana, that was part of the former Chicago to Cincinnati line, as well as the portion that is between LaCrosse and Wellsboro Indiana.

Suggesting for another camera, or cameras,Central Ave, Metairie La, where trains cross the Huey P. Long train bridge over the Mississippi river. You can see Amtrak’s City of New Orleans and the Sunset Ltd. And all the class one’s pass there, UP, NS, CSX, CPKC, CN, BNSF and New Orleans Public Belt!

Honestly I would like to see a Cam In My area, there's some pros and cons about the line that is trough here but most of the time alot of good power can run up here

You should make a camera in Gary Indiana, it gets 150 trains a day featuring NS, CSX, and CN. I just got back from there and have 5+ hours of footage in just 2 days
