This is my first time watching, reacting, and reviewing 1X3 of ONE PIECE "Tell No Tales." I hope you enjoy it!
SYNOPSIS
The series follows the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates as they explore the dangerous oceans, lands, and beyond in search of the "One Piece", a fabled treasure that will make their captain, Monkey D. Luffy, "King of the Pirates". But the Marines are on their ship's tail, and they are not the only crew searching for the One Piece. Armed with skills and an unbreakable friendship, the Straw Hats are ready for the journey and even more ready to fight for their dreams together.

In the one piece world created by Eichiro Oda, there are a lot of species here, and evrything is possible...all people here have their own skills and abilities beside devil fruits, so expect some weird things happening😂😂😂 People can be trained to a certain extent and learn skills/abilities... but in terms of power scaling...there is a certain name for that but that will be covered in the long long long way...

There are two One Piece movies that are a condensed versions of two arcs. One is movie 5 Adventures in Alabasta 2007. The other is Episode of Chopper Plus 2008.

The glasses thing is supposed to be him adjusting his glasses, but since he is so used to using his claws, he does it with his palm. It's just a cool sort of touch when it is revealed he is a bad guy in the manga.

If you want to figure out yourself who Usopp's dad is on Shanks' crew, he was in the flashbacks and if you're on the lookout for Yasopp, you'll see him

One video you DEFINITELY have to watch is "The Breathtaking World of One Piece!" Basically, its a video that gives you teasers and glimpses into the whole of One Piece's runtime, while keeping the actual plot unspoiled. It's a video meant to show you how amazing One Piece is without spoiling the story if you happen to decide you'd like to watch it. And overall, its very breathtaking!

Cause like sure there are a 1000 episode's but tell me are you really gonna wait for another 2 years just for a season 2 to release, instead of watching it now and continuing the story of the actual show itself? Cause that sounds like an excuse, cause you'd rather wait for 2 years for another 8, 10, episodes of an arc that is already finished and can be continued now, like right now. You could finish the entire one piece in 18 days, so why Don't you just do it instead of waiting for year's and year's and year's! For it to catch up? Like one piece live action will keep going till it reaches the manga but with the development being 2-4 years you'd be waiting longer than 20 year's probably!

Also like make some time if you can make time to watch 1 hour/1 episode a day then you can watch 4 episodes of the anime also like make some time you don't need to watch it so fast which is what one piece non watchers forget, you don't need to sit through it everyday you need to make time

@lightningjadejavier yeah i totally get that! but it better to let him come to decision himself instead of judging him or pressuring him, it might turn him off of trying it out completely. just remember one piece is new to so many ppl that LA brought in, by ep 8 alot of ppl wanted to know what happens next, from what ive seen, so they decided to continue onto the animanga so let him enjoy the journey and see what happens 😊

In case noone has mentioned it yet, Kuro didn't eat a devil fruit. In the world of One Piece, nearly everyone can train their abilities to their absolute limits and beyond, if they have the strenght to do so. Kuro is just this fast by his own. Also, because you asked why he is adjusting his glasses with his palm. It's a habit because of his claw gloves, so he doesn't cut himself.

While bounty posters exist in the source material, the way they flash on screen to introduce new characters is original to the live action version (which adds a fun little flare imo)! Also yes, you've seen Yasopp already and if you rewatch the flashbacks from Luffy's childhood you'll spot him pretty easily

I think the way they do bounty posters might be partially inspired by the way Oda writes out a character's name when they're introduced/reintroduced

@@Pablo360able Yeah. It is a notably stylistic thing in the One Piece manga that every notable character is introduced with a full body shot and a caption box with their name, role and (when applicable) bounty. The LA show probably was inspired on that to do the posters.

Yea, it is a small change from the anime. Here they really did their best to be as obvious as possible. The only thing missing was the floating neon sign "bad guy" above his head.

If you noticed on the second episode, when nami opened the safe, there is a wanted poster with the name Kuro on it with a visble bounty of 16m berries, as soon as they took the map out, you can see zoro reaching the poster on the safe but it was not shown opening it(so assume that he already opened and saw it). Now back to the mansion, when they were outside the yard, zoro was skeptical on the butler, and then during dinner, he asked him if they met before in funky bar...😅😂

Yeah, if you go back and rewatch the Shanks flashbacks, I guarentee you'll pick out Yasopp preeetty quickly. XD Fun fact: That unique way Kuro adjusts his glasses, which is pulled straight from the anime/manga, is so he doesn't poke his eye out with those big claws of his. It's a habit he trained himself to do and an early hint that there's more to "Klahadore" than it seems.

The Butler puts his palms to his glasses to adjust his glasses and keep them from falling down. He doesn't adjust them with his fingers because he got so used to wearing the stabby gloves and didn't want to stab himself in the eye. So it just became a habbit to adjust them with the palm of his hand. Yes, we've seen Yassop. It's not a secret, if you go back and watch episode 2 you can see him in the flashback. He's the guy wearing the YASSOP headband. Kuro didn't eat a Devil fruit, he's just freakishly fast, same as Zoro is Freakishly strong. There's an explanation about how he can move so fast WAY WAY down the line, but just know for now that his superspeed move makes him move so fast he can't react properly to his own speed, so he basically has to go a a place he knows or attack blindly, which is why he doesn't auto-win every fight ever.

Yes his dad was someone we have seen in the flash backs. In the Bar scene he was the guy with a headband that said "Yassup"... It wasnt exactly a *subtle* clue lol

Yeah the Manga explains it specifically but Kuro wore the gloves all the time and had to adjust his glasses that way to avoid cutting himself. And even though he's not currently pirating it's become a habit.

The interactive wanted posters are a delightful original addition by the live action show. It's a wonderful way of introducing pirates. Bounties are indicators of power and influence, and every time wanted posters are shown on the manga, they're very important. *Definitely DO NOT GOOGLE One Piece wanted posters!* There are plenty of spoilers there.

The reason Kuro used his whole palm ro adjust his glasses is because he was used to doing it with the bladed gloves as to not cut his face.

kuro's speed is called the pussyfoot maneuver, which is a move he invented to move extremely quickly. however, he can't see while he's moving that fast, so if he attacks while using it, it's indiscriminate.

I love how much you’re picking up on the music. I’ve been listening to the score nonstop; it’s so good! I don’t know how many episode reactions you’ve already filmed, but if you haven’t watched all of them yet, I suggest watching the anime opening theme song “We Are” because you’ll hear it a few times in the show’s score, which is such an awesome Easter egg for folks who have watched the anime.

not spoiling, but I will say that there are "superhuman" powers outside of the Devil Fruit stuff. It's mostly pushing beyond normal human limits, but yeah, there are a variety of powers and abilities in One Piece, albeit the Devil Fruits are a shortcut to some of the real high end abilities and supernatural stuff. Otherwise being inhumanly strong or fast or smart are not uncommon, I mean Zoro lifted that safe in the first episode.

oh, kuro doesn't have a devil fruit. the way he moves is a technique, one which is hard to control. in the source material, he had issues because he would move so quick he couldn't pick his targets, so he'd end up getting his own crew as well. translating that into live action, it looks like they've made a preset movement type out of it- so not adaptable while he's moving and hard to control. but i'm prolly reading too much there.

on a Cover Story , he was at the Funky Bar , Mirror Ball Island with his Right hand man Jango the Hypnotist .. in the manga/anime , Jango's in this arc too .. but I guess that will take so much time .. also , Kuro asked Jango to hypnotize Captain Morgan so he believed he captured Captain Kuro

By the end of the series, you also get to love characters you never thought you'd love. Just... freaking amazing all in all. Everybody really went above and beyond bringing these special characters to life. Especially our main cast.

It's interesting that you mentioned "The Boy Who Cried Wolf". Usopp is based on the fable's storyteller, Aesop (and Pinocchio) because of that same exact fable. His name is a mix of the Japanese word for lie and Aesop.

Fun fact: Kobi wasn't present nearly as much in the anime or manga until much later. They are filling out his character a lot more in the live action, especially when it comes to him and Garp. XD I love the dynamic!

Yeah Yassop is in the flashbacks. In the fight against the bandits, Yassop was the one with 2 pistols that banked the shot off of a metal pole to get the reflect kill. The manga/anime dips into his skills as a gunner/sniper.

Amazing reaction as always! If you want to watch other one piece stuff, I highly recommend ”the breathtaking world of one piece” as a first. Also ”the greatest story ever told” is another good one, but it does show scenes from the anime, so kinda spoilers of characters and scenes.

whet you get into several hundreds of episodes you find it completely normal for luffy to wonder if the galion can talko. nothing weird about that really. there are talking animals, talking couds, talking food, talking toys, ships talk on some occasion as well

If you want help deciding if you should watch the anime many reactors have been watching the opening (there are about 25), while there are spoilers without context you wont get much, I still recommend the manga over all other versions

Check out "breathtaking world of one piece" by StrawHat V. It's a fan edit of the world that this story takes place in. It will not spoil anything unless you hyperanalyze frame by frame and even then probably wouldn't spoil anything since there is no context for anything it shows.

A fun One Piece video to watch would be any of the One Piece Raps either the funny 4kids version or the badass ones by RUSTAGE. Also I love Mothers basement public service announcement "WARNING: DO NOT READ ONE PIECE" which does a horrible job saving people from the life altering piece of media. I'm sure a lot of people will recommend 'the breathtaking world of one piece" so maybe some of the openings?

Hollywood: we are so amazing look how clear every scene is and how perfectly place the close ups are. Flops Oda: give me close ups so you can see the pore of their skin with out of focus bacgrounds. Blockbuster
