If Sam knew about the state her mother was in things would've been different she would've just simply avoided her, although since Sam didn't know this was a very logical reaction due to the fact Tory actually tried to kill her and was responsible for both scarring her and almost killing miguel

Throughout S4 Sam continued the rivalry so she should deal with the consequences of continued escalation just like everyone else including Tory. She wants war then she gets it. Also Sam's wrong doings are swept under the rug and she is hardly ever held accountable. Only Miggy boi is more coddled.

They kind of pushed it too far with each other. Robby and Miguel while they themselves are now friends and are about to be brothers them becoming that way makes a lot sense because their rivalry wasn’t a true rivalry as it was only based on misunderstandings and bad timing and neither one of them truly meant to hurt the other. Sam & Tory’s rivalry is a true rivalry because that is based on mutual hatred towards each other and unlike what Robby did to Miguel in the school fight, Tory made it clear that she meant everything that she was doing to Sam in the school fight, the arcade fight, and the house fight

I also think that in this scene and the scene in S5 where Sam visits Tory’ home, the creators make it clear that them burying the hatchet is possible and being on the same side can happen to defeat a common enemy, but the damage has been to far done for them to be friends with each other at this point and also we have to keep in mind why they dislike each other so much and why their rivalry (as far as the teens go) is a real rivalry: because of how different they are as people and making them friends would mean changing the others personality too much. If they however do another series with them as adults and having spent a few years a part from each other then that’s the series that I can see a potential friendship between them. As far as Cobra Kai goes I think the series is going to end with them as rivals/allies that respect and understand each other and will back each other up when the other is in serious trouble in a fight and that’s it.

When we are talking about children (yeah even teenagers) a rivalry can't be that strong, as long as the rivals don't want it. Tory and Sam aren't that different; quite the opposite. Yes Sam has an easy life, but is by no means a spoiled child. She's rather a kind person and a real fighter. As for Tory, she might seem like she is just mean and petty, but this is all because of how she always has to fight for an inch. We are talking about 2 fighters whose only difference is the terrain they are fighting on. Also, let's not forget how Tory's and Sam's rivalry also started as a misunderstanding. So, if you ask me, I have high hopes for these two becoming friends.
