Man I LOVED watching Sam changing guards and styles mid fight. Made her impredictable and confident in what was she doing. She should've won.

Yeah, technically she did win. The fight was rigged. If it was fair and unrigged, the fight would have ended with Sam winning at 3 to 2 when she used her two- fisted punch.

Really liking the fight here: Sam is finding her own way in karate, and I think this is one those moments that started pushing Tory to question things a bit. Also, that announcer guy at the beginning, the way he introduces both the fighters and the senseis (Miyagi-do and Eagle Fang, nobody cares about Cobra Kai at this point. Kidding of course but no) is done so, so well! Watched that introduction part more than once, it's so good!!

I used to hate Kreese, but when I saw this scene for the first time, he gained my mad respect for him. I respect both Danny and Johnny because they've learned to put their hatred for each other aside and work together! Good job y'all! Tori making sure Sam was okay was wonderful. Sam being respectful despite Tori hurting her was still kind and professional. And Danny wanting to have Johnny recognized as a two time champ has made me come to like him even more! Great job all y'all for working together!

Kreese and Tori were acomplete Sociopath through Season 3. At Seaon 4, they started becoming "Good" Characters. A little stretching of believablilty.

Throughout all the flashbacks, it shows that John Kreese is not innately a bad guy. Circumstances in his life have changed him to what he has become in adulthood. He also realizes that his treatment of Johnny was wrong. He has a heart: As in and , his heart has to be unfrozen. Yeah, I used those movies as examples. Don't judge me.... He really does care for Johnny and Tory. Kreese just has demons to battle. He also has a soft spot for Kim.

Thats pretty accurate, changing her style to aggression was smart for the first point. But its not her natural style while it is Tory's. out the gate they should have told her to change it up each point to keep Tory guessing. When I use to do fencing, this was pretty normal. something like come out aggressive for 2 points then slow it down because your oppenent expects you to be aggressive and it throws them off. She can't just beat tory at something she already excels at.

Cobra Kai in general has a lot of oversights when it comes to editing scenes. The mall fight, and the scenes of Hawk getting his hair cut by Cobra Kai are the most glaring examples.

Just saw The Rise last night. It was probably the best episode of Cobra Kai I've seen yet. 😄 On a couple of levels, it's fitting that All-Valley ended with Sam and Tory. They're both the most experienced with martial arts among the kids (as all of the other kids only started karate a year prior at most), and it's looking like their rivalry is at least starting to come to a head.

My favorite character in cobra Kai is Terry Silver. It’s my best favorite one. He is always black belt. I know how his try to copy his movements call the quick bullet.

The most impressive thing about Sam is that she is the only one using karate. Without a doubt, Robby vs Eli was impressive, but they are just brawling.. Sam uses actual techniques and stances and I love that! That is kinda the Cobra Kai style, to just brawl. But I love seeing actual karate!

Bobby from the original karate kid movie, the one that hurt daniel larruso's leg he apologized over and over again in the movie and you can hear him yelling. "I didn't want to! I'm sorry". When Tori said, "I didn't mean to!" and asked if Sam was alright after she got kicked, they both were kids following orders from terrible teachers but niether of them meant to hurt anybody. Like Mr.Miyagi once said "there's no bad student, only bad teacher".

the only thing I don't like about this fight is that Tori genuinely won her fight against Sam, but because Silver had to be a complete kill joy, that sense of victory is stolen from her. It isn't fair. She genuinely defeated Sam, but that's stolen because of something she didn't even know happened.

To put it more simply so ur feeble mind can comprehend Sam has trained n dedicated herself to karate since being a child as well as developed a cool collected aptitude when fighting hence y her style n her stance revolves around countering n intercepting her opponent mid attack whether on defense or offense or both. Her lifestyle defines her position in karate which also explains her natural talent n potential for martial arts Tory however has fought n clawed her way through life since as a child which ultimately developed her aggressive n quick style in karate as well as a fearless n instinctive aptitude n cobra kai just magnified her attributes. Her lifestyle defines her approach to karate n her style usage especially her stance which revolves around quick n precise n powerful striking not to mention she was a kick boxer. Her potential is just as great as sam if not GREATER. Never forget the fact that Tory knows no defense other than using precise instincts to counter her opponent despite this disadvantage her speed n power makes up the difference which is y she is able to match Sam. The difference however can be erased IF Tory unlocks her true potential by learning defense n sharpening her unrivaled instincts to a higher level

Tory deserved a clean win but the writers are biased and refuse to ever risk Sam looking bad so they made it that Silver fixed it, so in reality Tory's win meant nothing after S5. Quite sad how Tory loses every big fight she's in.

Agreed. After all the dirty tactics she used she lost everytime even in the drinking competition. She also lost her boyfriend (Miguel). On top of that she has to care for her mother and brother supporting them with a job and taking care of the house. Not getting a single win is too sad. Just makes me feel worse for her.

Sensai Kreese is a great sensai but only when it comes to Tori! Well he was good to her until he used her for his get out of prison plan and than discarded her . I suppose he didn’t have another option but the way he let her call that last point and fight the way she wanted ….that showed some real growth on the part of kreese !
