He is a very talented martial artist in this department he's on point, but his acting skills is lame. Same goes to Scott Adkins when nerds want him as a Batman. Good Batman, lame Bruce Wayne. Period!

But both michael and scott their acting has inproved they are getting better roles play and do quite well their movies are always entertaining especially if your a martial arts fan and at the same time some actors dont portray their roles very well until they get one that they excel at i wouldnt write off michael jai white as blade, besides how much acting skills does one need for blade look at the movies he doesnt say much! he spends most of the movie shooting and beating the shit out of vampires and what not. Michael is perfect for the role

Maybe they don't do Oscar winning performances but Martial artists often get dismissed because of their own stunts! True old chinese films mainly focussed on action rather than acting skills .. But they have their stunt choreography to focus on!

The guy who ran the book and caused the end fight here is going to long term have a hard time getting another gig going. He did not just lose to an unknown, but he welshed on a deal. That is going to cost him in terms of his street cred for being trustworthy.
