About Sanford And Son: The highest-rated half-hour series in NBC history at the time, Sanford and Son stars Redd Foxx as the cantankerous sexagenarian Fred Sanford and Demond Wilson as his son Lamont, also his business partner in the family junk-dealing business. To prevent his son from leaving home, and bent on having things his own way in general, Fred often calls upon such ruses as fake heart attacks or phony back ailments. Lamont usually sees through these subterfuges, but because he loves his father, he lets him think he's getting his way.

I was a step child, mistreated, Sanford and son was the dad I always wanted, had a junkyard for years, and now a restaurant. You can accomplish your goal if you focus.

Fred Sanford is truly one of the greatest sitcom characters in tv history. He ranks with the best such as Archie Bunker George Jefferson Al Bundy and Lucy Riccardo. Redd Foxx was a great comedian and a terrific actor.

Sanford and Son has been around from back in the '60s I wouldn't used to come home and look at it I've always enjoyed my kids have enjoyed it with me and now here I am 74 years old and enjoying it more I thank you all for keeping them and having them for us at our age to still go back and reminisce the old times with Sanford and Son.
