We spoke for 10 minutes, and having asked me why I was in therapy, I opened up somewhat to you. As your doctor beckoned to you, you came over and instinctively gave me a hug. Her death was not a suicide after all it was natural causes. This is my favorite Sinead O’Connor song because it feels so prophetic. I know she wasn’t a Christian however, the lyrics of this song seems so apropos for the times we are in ”they dress the wounds of my poor people, as though they are nothing ,,,,,saying peace, peace, peace, where there is no peace .”

This is a true psalm of offering, gratitude and lament. Beautiful Sinead. You are missed.

Beautiful Sinead. When she made Nothing Compares to You I bought her record. When I see her singing it, it makes me cry. My grandfather was Irish. What a wonderful tribute to her at her funeral. I knew she had problems in her life but now I have found out why. A horrendous time as a child and ongoing. And she was strong enough to speak out. I was brought up in England in the RC religion and the controlling nature of that is not correct for young people. When Sinead died my feelings of sadness were also that she was at rest with her son and peace had finally come to her. God bless you Sinead and your son.
