Triumph Motorcycles has been announced as official engine supplier to the Moto2 Championship from the 2019 season onwards.

What BHP is this engine going to make Triumph? Guessing + 140? Great move by the company to get it into moto 2. Hope they prove reliable.

I took the new Street Triple RS 756cc out on a test drive the other day (very nice by the way), it can't be a coincidence that the new Moto2 bike has the exact same displacement?! Does these engines have more things that are alike?

This is the same engine with some porting, titanium valve springs ect. to make the bike breathe a bit more and rev higher.

Richard Andersson. The 765 Street Triple and the Moto2 765 engine from Triumph are exactly the same engines but with different(higher end performance parts) bits here n' there. And as you can probably guess, the state of the tune differentiates vastly too. The street triple is 'tamed' version needing to neet emission norms whereas with the Moto2 engines, they can go all bonkers!
