I've been watching this KZfaq channel called ProjectJDM with these oddly satisfying pendulum-like sequences and I thought it would be cool if someone made a full song out of that concept :)

Yes, unless you have a degree in music... I'm here listening and trying to find out our which 16th/32nd/64th/128th note is on the down-beat at any given point in time. This would be HELL to actually perform. It sounds awesome, but if someone was asked to actually perform this on a real instrument their mind would melt.

A Polymeter is 2 or more different time signatures being played at once, like a melody in 3/4 being played at the same time as a melody in 4/4. While a polyrhythm is 2 different amounts of notes are being played at once, like 5 evenly spaced piano notes and 3 (also evenly spaced) piano notes being played in 2 seconds@@PunishedDad

I love how you subtlely fade in and out different effects and instruments playing the same set of notes, making an actual nice piece of music. Wow

The experience of watching this at 11 : 30 at night while being that weird kind of tired where your brain decides to lose focus every minute or so and your eyes are weirdly heavy (like not very but still a little) is unrivaled

Old memes are always the best. Sadly where the meme came from, xzibit? On the show "pimp my ride" Whatever the scammer's name is left those poor ppls cars worse than they were before bc they would rip all the expensive stuff out after the shoot and even left some people without a working car at all. There's whole mini documentaries on it here on KZfaq. They did people DIRTY.

The concept is so cool I fell into a rabbit hole after seeing this. I made my own using a python script. If it does well I'll turn it into a website where people can make their own polyrhythms! Edit : I tried to put the link and I'm now banned from commenting on this channel 😅 go in the comments on my last upload
