We want £70m at least for him given what Philips went from Leeds for. He has European experience and plays internationally for a nation that has won something this century. Plus he has more experience in the Prem. Add to that the fact replacing him would be nigh on impossible... Fact is nobody is willing to pay it. We don't want a payment plan so Barca and United can't afford it. Arsenal parent take the risk. City, LFC and Paris only clubs realistically that can afford him and none of those want him. Barca were counting on us wanting Trincao and that would have probably dropped the cost of Neves. But I don't think Wolves would have ever entertained that idea and probably would have just set a higher price for Neves to be able to go for a replacement. Probably why we have had no transfers really... I am guessing Anderlecht are paying a fee for Fabio to go on loan and that might help us buy or pay for a loan ourselves. It does mean we now need a striker on top of everything else.... I can't see us letting all these players go when we are already struggling... Doesn't make sense. Fabio going means surely Neves is staying? Isn't that is saying we need to strengthen attack and to bring in a striker we need to offload one for a season? Sorry but I smell another Willian Jose type of season long loan. Which if works out we will sign... Like how we did with Jimenez.
