When it comes to snake, most people would actually think of scary venomous animal. While some snakes are venomous, some are actually quite harmless to humans.
Despite their venomous / non-venomous properties, some snakes are actually really beautiful. In this video, we are going to look at 10 most beautiful / pretty / prettiest / gorgeous / wonderful looking snakes / snake / snake species in the world.
These snake species / snakes include / including asian vine snake, blue racer, eastern coral snake, green tree python, iridescent shieldtail, red headed krait, formosan odd scaled snake, honduran milk snake, brazilian rainbow boa and san francisco garter snake.

I was a soldier in Iraq where I saw a very thick, 3' viper silently and slowly slide right by me (about 12" from my right foot). I was out at sunrise by myself brushing my teeth by a drainage ditch near Tikrit Iraq. It's head was a massive diamond shape and it had THE MOST BEAUTIFUL iridescent bright butane blue pattern overlaid on the prettiest background of buttery yellow. I've never seen such a magnificently beautiful creature anywhere. I've also never been able to find pictures or a description of this viper anywhere. It was truly unforgettable.

@@jayahrgementiza6478 They will always be beautiful in my eyes. Snakes only bite you because they feel like they're in danger, they don't bite you because they're mean. If you're holding a wild/untamed snake, or go close to its nest, then, of course, it will bite you, because it's feeling threatened.

@@nineteeneightyfour374 I will *never* touch a *venomous* wild snake without a reason, and I *never* said I would risk my life for a snake, no matter how beautiful, but what I would do when I see a snake in danger is call an authorized wildlife rehabilitator, they will do a better job than I to save the snake and release it back to the wild. Anyway, I feel bad for anyone stupid enough to touch a wild animal.

Snakes are the most underrated and misjudged animals in the planet but in reality they are amazing. They can crawl without limbs, swim without fins and fly without wings. I hope we respect them.

I saw one of the San Francisco garter snakes in the oil patch area outside of Hobbs New Mexico. I had no idea what it was at that time, but it was truly beautiful.

People who hate snakes. You can hate them, you can fear them, but please just respect them. Simply because you do not understand something, or are afraid of it does not mean you should destroy it, snakes are an extremely important part of the ecosystem, and help reduce the numbers of small animals like mice, rats, and other pests. Some snakes even eat bugs. Most snakes, are not venomous, and nearly no snake is "aggressive" only defensive, so long as you are not bothering them, or threatening them, they will not harm you. If you find one in your yard, chances are it's not dangerous, but if you're worried, call someone, there are many places that will happily come remove them, and relocate them, free of charge.

Excellent selection. My personal faves for beautiful snakes are the gaboon viper, the palmetto morph for the corn snake, the schegel's blind snake and the brahminy blind snake.

Don't dwell on things from the past, don't stress on your future. Just live your life, because you only get one. Do whatever makes you happy, not what other people want from you. Mostly because certain species have evolved bright beautiful colors to convey that harassing them can result in getting stung/bitten and possibly injected with venom. Natures keep away sign.

We just rescued two blue racers and the male was very colorful like the one in the picture. We set them free on our property. A local lady wanted someone to "get rid of them" and didn't care if someone killed them. We love snakes so my man caught them and brought them to our place so they'd remain safe.

That San Francisco Garter Snake is just gorgeous. The person who selected this list of beautiful snakes seemed to have a real affinity for green. Pattern wise, I think the Gaboon Vioer is stunning.

Good video with some excellent pictures. Of course judging the most beautiful snakes is always subjective. My personal favorites are members of the milk snake family, and the king snake family. I guess the favorite that I have seen in the wild, and have had as a pet, is the California king snake. I have removed dozens of California king snakes from the highways and turned them loose on friends farms, to control mice, gophers, and rattlesnakes. Captive bread California kings are common in the pet trade, and make excellent pet snakes.

My husband found a beautiful snake in our backyard several years ago, and I could swear it was that San Francisco snake! Since we're literally on the other coast, I have to assume that if it was one of those, it had to be someone's pet that either escaped or was turned loose. I could hardly stop looking at how gorgeous it was, and I really wish I took a picture!

I've caught the San Fransisco Garter snake twice. The first time was about 38 years ago at Dillon Beach CA. It was hissing and striking. I've never seen a garter snake as hostile as that one since.

I’ve seen the San Francisco Garter Snake sometimes at the Lake I go to in New Jersey. I only really see them in Late Spring and Throughout Summer. I’ve kept baby ones in captivity. They’re very interesting specimens and fun to watch.

They are only found in the Peninsula south (San Mateo and maybe the very Northern tip of Santa Cruz County) of San Francisco and San Francisco (maybe).

I used to skin them and make things like boots , belts and hatbands out of them, then ind take the meat and grind it up and make snake cakes for breakfast or a sandwich and a sandwich for lunch and a bag or lunch and a sandwich and then I can get a little more cheese sandwich and a wrap for lunch and then I can get you a little more lunch then I can get it to y'all go get home I'll be home in a little more than noon and then I can get it back to you later bye thanks for the good morning bye thanks again I'll see you soon thanks again I'll talk soon thanks I'll see you tomorrow love y'all bye thanks again for your help

The Green Tree Python reminds me of the Autumn season with the color stages/changes it goes through.... If I were to have one I would name it Mabon after the autumnal solstice 🐍🖤

@@tanayaslittleworld beautiful but deadly. Unfortunately most human victims are people working in fields and accidentally step on them. It’s a very rude awakening, as the Gaboon Viper has the longest fangs of any snake, coming in at 2” long. Ouch! 🤕

They are indeed beautiful. The snake is always mistreated & feared, it would be a GOOD thing if people were more informed as to which are harmless & those that are not. Thumbs up to the photog that was able to capture these breathtaking photos of these ELUSIVE creatures.

Actually, I saw the San Francisco Garter Snake, I never knew what it was until now. I was only in preschool in northern California, and I was near the fence, and out of the bushes I see it. It was brilliant, with its blue, and black and red, though I only remember the blue and black mostly. Nobody believed I saw that "blue striped snake," but I'll never forget it.

there are so many beautiful snakes on this planet, it would be impossible for me to come up with my own favorite Top 10. probably no two people in the entire world would match on there top 10 lists. so much great variety out there :)

The red headed Krait is a highly venomous snake which "inhibits" forested hills. So, it prevents forested hills? Dang, must be SUPER venomous to be able to effect geography.

When my mother was a little girl, (now in her 70s) she said that while visiting some relatives, she fell asleep and woke to find no one around. She freaked out, and started to cry while looking for everyone. She got out of the house and she went to a field to look for everyone since they were planning to go there earlier. While in her way and crying, she said she saw a huge snake crossing the path she was walking. She said she stopped cause she got more scared when she saw the snake. She said it was extremely scary to see the snake stop and raise up half of its body from the ground. Then she said she noticed the color of the snake. It looked black or dark brown but had an irradecent shimer to it that showed with the sun light. She said that the snaked continue its journey and went thru a fence made of rocks. When she found everyone she told them, but they didnt believe her cause they had never seen a snake like what she had described. So, i wonder if she saw a #9 snake
