HOLY CRAP!!!! That whale encounter was epic!!!! It was EASILY one of the best face to face moments I’ve seen on KZfaq!! One of my wishes on my bucket list is to b able to see a whale in real life n b face to face with one like u guys had then! That must have been magical to have had that encounter!!… I’m hoping that u r gonna take up that challenge I suggested on ya live last wk (I think) were I only use ya fly fishing rod for a morning or afternoon session at Panama… It would b awesome to see how u would get on!! Xxx

Oh man I'm coming down for the trip starting October 30, so excited to finally get on the water in Panama :) I've been studying these videos in the hope I can cut down the learning curve and get into some monsters, see ya soon :)

You'll love it, don't get hung up on just trolling live bait for Rooster or Cabera. Mix it up with popping, and jigging., you'll catch more fish for sure. If you are trolling live bait throw out a popper or drop jigs as you go and move around to different spots also.

Aren’t those whales gorgeous!!! The stench when they blow air… me and some friends had a pod of whales sneak up on us when we were halibut fishing in Washington. Beautiful once in a lifetime for me, the stench stays with me. If you know you know.

Man it was pretty rough fishing, weather was not cooperating at all. Out of all my trips it was the toughest fishing but still managed couple smaller roosters, mahi, bluefin regally and few other species. Always a great time at Los Buzos even when weather and fishing is tough

Is that 'broomtail' the same as what we call scamp grouper in the gulf?

I don't think so, two different grouper with similar features

Not at all, totally different. California broom tail grouper. Patterns look like a scamp but the tail and fins are different

95 percent of fisherman can't afford this trip. If you're lucky enough to afford it, after you pay, they still want to tell you when where you can fish !! Sad

95%? It’s only $2500 and it’s their fishing trip you go on a fishing trip with most guides this is how it is you don’t like it fish from the bank at your pond.

@@corrysmith6109Totally agree, I'm getting ready to do my 5th trip down there. They guide you hence the guided trip, but for the most part once you're in an area you are pretty much on your own. Also for the length of the trip it is fairly inexpensive. Most grown ass adults who can't afford a yearly trip or 2 at those prices need to re-evaluate their life choice
