Throwing the Gaff around is dangerous , a slow and calculated method of gaffing fish is the best way to secure fish.

Awesome vid! So stoked you guys caught such massive tuna! My partner's family are Maltese and usually just preserve tuna in aromatic oil (garlic, chilli, shallots, parsley, rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, pepper and salt). We usually take these preserves out fishing and eat it on crackers with cucumber, tomato, cheese or cream cheese with lemon, salt and pepper. So delicious! 😋🤤 I'll pass on your method/video to my partners family and see what they come up with

great fish especially out of your own boat. good work but need to work on gaff job which when adrenaline is pumping is a really hard thing to do. it's good when you see big fish jumping around but to land a couple just tops the day off.

Nice vid, but ur end game needs work. Forget about gaffing them in the head, gill plates are hard. Shoulder shots work better, don't gaff from under the fish, go over the top and stick with fixed gaffs for tuna
