Pool Party - Cardiel Draws Lines

In episode 1 of "Pool Party" legendary skater, John Cardiel, dissects the Combi Bowl and gives his take of square meets round and the necessity of finding the line to combine the two bowls. He also compares the different takes on skating the bowl while showing you a mixture of historical footage from the past 7 years of the Protec Pool Party and new action footage from 2011.

John Cardiel is a living legend and inspiration to every skateboarder I know. Best all around skater ever, period!!!! Can not wait for episode 3, will have to get a tin of copenhagen and try to chew the whole lot to get myself psyched and ready. Keep it up.

Grosso's fast 50/50's blew me away back in the day and you add that to ALL HAIL's maniac skate & destroy. The end was result was beef with the locals trying to land a tre flip manny on the fun box as you whip around.. all good though ;)

It's not right that they didn't involve Salba in the design and construction. I can understand that it had to be mellower but it could have been better.

nkmcfrln well why him but not his brother Micke? Why him but not Miller? Why him but not Peters? I’ll tell you why - because no one needs their input. Salba’s a legend, but the last time he helped design a bowl, the combi pool ended up with 8 foot transitions, 4 feet of vert and coping that stuck out more than a mormon in a mosh pit. Vans was wise to put him in charge of smoking Pall Malls and leave the pool designing to the pros.

its funny cause he talks about surf vibes all the time in interviews but his interview in juice he says he never surfed but boogie boarded and that he hated surfers. not talkin shit its just funny
