It’s true though. We as black people tend to put people with the worst characteristics on a pedestal, treat them as though they are legends and allow the internet to prop them up as a representation of our entire race. When other countries think about black Americans they see rap videos, with black kids holding guns dancing around, talking about murder. I’ve watched a good amount of Percy videos and he do seem to sensationalize going to prison. In a “I’m a real gangster, so I made it” kind of way. I guess the real testament is the fact that all of Percy’s sons are in prison now. It shows that he don’t stress the importance of decision making, risk vs. reward or the ability to let possible consequences prevent actions.
