You're doing an excellent job nwanne. As Ogbueshi spoke of the name Ahaba, I recollect that there are many Ahaba communities in the South East...Ahaba village in Orodo near Owerri; Ahaba Imenyi in Isuikwuato; the Okporo Ahaba village in Ngwa etc. Other Asaba communities in the SS are Asaba Ubulu in Oshimili, Asaba Ase in Ndokwa. I'm not sure of the veracity of the "Ahabago m" theory that Ogbueshi postulates, but we can see this name emerges in various areas of Igbo land. Likewise, we see the Onicha name with Igbo in Delta state...Onicha Ugbo, Onicha Olona, Onicha Ukwuani. But, we also see many Onicha communities in the South East...Onicha Mmili- Anambra state, Onicha Ngwa- Abia state, Onicha Uboma- Imo state, Onicha Enugu Ezike-Enugu State, Enu-Onicha Nike- Enugu State, Onicha Igboeze- Ebonyi State, Onicha Uburu- Ebonyi State. Again, we're really looking at the same people on both sides of the Niger, despite certain peculiarities.

NNAAMEHNTV, I watch your programs and interviews regularly from the USA; from the ones in Opobo, Queenstown, Bonny, Isiokpo, Omuma, Egbema, and now Asaba. The Ogbueshi,of Asaba Kingdom that you interviewed in Asaba, recently, looks seemed very much and well informed about their Asaba, Onitsha and Nteje ancestry. With all the interviews about the Igbos, within the five States and other outlying regions, is it possible to document, and eventually publish a book on "that topic" of reuniting the Igbos? This is because a lot of us, especially myself would like to know more about Igbo heritage. You started a good topic and job that can bring the Igbos back together in the near future. Good job, and keep it up, nwa Mbieri. Dr. Darlington Egbu, USA.

Mr. Dr. Excuse me, Mr. Dr Darlingthing, your head is also not correct ooo! Your wishful thinking is dead on arrival already; why? You mentioned Onitsha in all this confusion the Igbos are having, anufia! Do you know that Onitsha is part of the Edo/Benin ancestry/heritage? Please go talk to the Obi of Onitsha or at least the chiefs, Ok? There is no Nteje ancestry or whatever in Onitsha except the EDU/Edo ancestry and please go and figure, mumu!! Thank you bro for your hard work, but i want to ask our Igbo tribe to come together and unite, i don't really know why some are scared to accept they're igbo. How can someone speaking Igbo language will denied been an Igbo person, i'm still not understanding the reason. Igbos are great poeple, great tribe, great nation, denying been an Igbo is like denying been a great person.

obumneme IGBOKWE you will not understand what happened during the civil war. That war divided the Igbo race because the Fulanis and the rest of people in Nigeria where against the Igbos. A situation where everybody was against one ethnic group, some of them decided to deny their their identity to remain alive. it was that bad. if you know what the Igbos suffered because of that war, it is unspeakable. My joy today is that the truth is beginning to manifest. People have seen that the igbos have not done anything wrong.

This man made very interesting and eye opening statements and have solved this constant Bini talks and assertions. Igbo were and are not Bini, the Bini empire rose and grew which we all know they fought wars with Igbo communities hence why run disperse and travel across the Naija to settle in different places while some like Asaba people stood back and fought. This makes sense now, Igbos have always referenced and respected Onitsha sometimes subliminally now I see why

The Ogbueshi's story is disjointed in relation to Nnebuisi being the founder of Asaba. Listen to him, first Nnebusis is from Nteje because his mother is from Nteje but Nnebuisi father worked for Eze Anyanwu. But Nnebuisi's father is from Igala. His parents are not from Asaba but migrants and cannot have founded Asaba. The original people are according to Ogbueshi are Obodo Achala and Eze Anyanwu. The Nnebuisi man might have achieved some success to earn him recognition but not the founder it is not clear if the Ogbueshi in his story is saying Eze Anyanwu and Obodo Achala who were met in Asaba by Nnebuisi parents - mother from Nteje a town in Anambra State and his father from Igala are migrants. It is nothing but misinformation and misleading. From Ogbueshi's story, it is not clear where the Igala man who is Nnebuisi's father met her, is it at Nteje or in Asaba? A more knowledgible man in the history of the town should be consilted for accurate story.

Every of our Obis and their cabinets from Anioma (Western Igbos) always come to your Yoruba Obas who came from Ile Ife with their Yoruba gods and deities like olokun, Ogun, Osun, Ora etc to take approval. Failure to do that will amount to invasion and destruction. Even your fellow Edoid group were attacked by the armies of Bini because they failed to come get approval. Ahaba Ibokwe has three foundation. The first human to settle down in Ahaba is Eze_ Ugboma from Achalla, Awka region. The second person is Eze _Anyanwu. He's an Igbo ritual specialist who is related to Eze_Chima. Nnebisi's mother who came from Nteje was a servant in his court. There he was impregnated by Onoja Oboni who was a slave raider/guest of Eze_Anyanwu. Onoja Oboni ran away, and Nnebisi's mother was sent back to her parents. Before the coming of white people into West Africa, every ethnic nationality has their own way of belonging to a family. In Igboland, out of wedlock kids(Ime_Mkpuke) belongs to the girls parents. You Edoid people have your own ways like Isomi wife etc. Nnebisi migrated back to Ibokwe when he became an adult, and start coexisting with the descendants of Eze_Ugboma & Eze _Anyanwu. This's why you hear names like Ugboma _Nta( Younger/little/small_Ugboma. That's why you hear us make mention of Ahaba Ibokwe, Obodo Achalla, Umu_Eze_Anyanwu. Do you people worship Soil The Earth goddess (Ali,Ala,Ani,Ana or Eli( Ani _Ahaba, Ani_Onitsha, Ala_Ngwa, Ali_Isokpo, Ali_Obu, Ani_Anam, Okani_Ali )? Do you people kill twins? Do you people eat humans, do you people kill infants whose legs appears first during child birth, do you people kill infants whose upper teeth appears first? Yeah, we have been living together, we borrowed some things from you guys because your Yoruba Obas forced us to do so, but we're not the same people, ok?? We don't worship the same gods, we don't have the same culture, custom and traditions. We don't belong to the same language group.

The danger with this is that we risk documentation of false and fabricating history as true and factual history. The biggest set back to igbo civilization and history is the complete lack of documented writing literature. This lack of literature explains the dark or void periods that created the intellectual gap that the current generation is endeavoring to fill.

Great job but really don't agree with ur attitude towards ur researching!! Kindly try to find out more about (WHY) the reasons for not accepting the Igboness ok. I speak a language don't make me a native, actually with confirmations I was told as a kid much about what happened between the native Igbos and the rest south south folks. Even till tomorrow is still a severe crime to sell land for either farming or house building to an Igbo man Cuz they aren't welcome. Kindly accept us as we present ourselves in this issue Cuz nothing as you are chasing it, will ever change the damage/atrocities done by the native Igbos. German as a language is spoken in more European nations - Germany, Swiss, Austria, Liechtenstein, etc and still doesn't make/classified as Germans for ur information. However, keep up ur good research bro.

Why are you speaking English and not Igbo? You are interviewing igbo people for igbo audience why are you speaking igbo? Who told you that igbos are not unified? All these individual unverifiable accounts of history may achieve the opposite of what you sort or intended. Igbo is content with all that identified with her. IGBO IS NOT A COLONIALIST LANGUAGE. some people in rivers say they are not Igbo yet they speak igbo, drink Igbo, and dress Igbo. The best unification tool which I advocate it's adoption is economic development and education .

I agree with some of your points especially the last statement/sentence. But why are you speaking/writing in English to criticize him for doing the same.? English is a very common means of communication and this video isn't just for Igbo people to listen to. Its a documentary and he needs as many views as possible too. We shouldn't always pick on the small issues when the bigger problems are facing us. I propose we come up with a bigger name to encompass all people/towns with strong Igbo or similar socio cultural identity/customs to create a much bigger union that is not political. Since clearly because of naija state politics some people will keep saying they are not Igbo just for the sake of the politics of their state and position/resource sharing. Unfortunately that's the level for now. So this new name eg 'umunnem' etc should be volunteer for anyone or town or sub tribe to join without duress. We have to find a way to stop this' I am Igbo or not Igbo' embarrassment.
