Back in March 2006 I had the pleasure of being on stage with B.B. King, Jose Feliciano and Patti LaBelle doing "The Thrill is Gone" and a couple other songs at the Cipriani Ballroom in New York City. Don't know why that video has never been posted as it was a major production. It was a blast and the crowd went crazy as they traded off verses and guitar leads.

Jose was like Johnny Rivers. They were never bothered (burdened?) by a band, so when ready for the big recording or concert they got the very best studio people ,. Yet rock fans love the idea of the ROCK BAND. , even when 3/4's have been replaced. Jose, really impressed Daryl Hall in their "light my fire" and I could tell , her knew he had heard something special.

Jose was the 4th of 11 Son's, I Love him since he came out in 68 and won 2 Grammy Awards, there is not enough words to describe his Talent, Soul, etc. We were allowed to stay up on a school nightif we new he was going to be on the Johnny Carson Show, Jose was great at jokes and had a great humour, Thank You Jose for the Memories. 👍👌🙂🙂

I love his Spanish guitar influenced picking. It adds a great feel when coming out of an electric. JF is one of the only people in the world who could cover this song and take you away and let you forget yourself in the song without wishing it was BB King. He did the same thing with Light My Fire. JF is untouchable when he makes a song his own.

I remember as a boy watching in the 60's as Jose played "Flight Of The Bumble Bee", he was lightning, I was enthralled with his playing then and still am. He did some tracks with Darryl Hall (of Hall & Oats) on a series called "Live From Darryl's House", great material.
