Green algea populates the base of the river to give it the green hue. The brown is the runoff of the erosion and they would stay separate. We were going to build a golf course and series of hotels to make that area a vacation spot for all Nigerians. However, the Imo politics precluded us from getting the project off the ground. I lost so much money in that place that I am never going back.

Those are some interesting facts. The golf course would have really elevated the status of lake oguta and made the natural resource an asset to the community. It's just so sad that time and time again, in Nigeria politics comes in the way of progress. The irony.

@@emahpurple Thanks, Emah. That was the precise idea behind wanting to do the Project in Nigeria. However, their leadership was interested in how much the foreign investment that could be divided and their own portion. So, it's the same old story. Take care of yourself.

My dad used to fish around those dark corners while growing up as a kid! He told us stories of carrying his canoe to those grassy areas in the afternoon and how He'd end up catching a lot of fish which His mom uses to Prepare nice meals for the family.

To add, the river(Orashi) also runs through Akinima(Ahoada west), Ahaoda East and ONELGA, it also leads to the upper Orashi Forest Reserve in Ahoada West

You guys missed the the real point Fari The river doesn't kill anyone it's just that the both will still flow separately and it's because of their difference in density but people take it too far because of their belief that the two rivers were human but in actual sense they flow separately because of their difference in density & flowing speed I enjoyed the video hope we can see you explore more places in Nigeria as there's a lot more beautiful places with some cool stories as well😅

Fari, actually I had witnessed when my cousin did the experiment using a coke bottle but it was in Nekede of imo state, he brought two rivers otamiri and uramirikwa, then he put them in a coke bottle and corked it, after five mins, this water began boiling, we thought it was sun cooked because it was kept under the sun, after a while the bottle exploded, your experience is probably cos you are stranger, and sometimes the gods from those river might not be harsh

You see my dear concerning to this two rivers of a thin is that you didn't mix it at a river side, assuming you do so,you would have understand what they are telling you about the two river. The river will surly emerge together as you were told.
