Hello Peachy we totally understand your reaction & yes... we fell off the chair, stool, couch, etc.. when we first hear/saw this MV.. and some of us are still on the floor... I love this snippet from Stay @StrayHavenCami: The title for this track in Korean translates to Compulsion…so it absolutely could be about an obsessive relationship. Chan has said that they are using the sexuality/relationship angle to help convey the intensity of emotion that one feels when dealing with obsession. Chan and Hyunjin both struggle with obsession when it comes to their art….they love it and it’s the thing that sustains them but the constant need to perfect their craft and the never ending drive to constantly create, quite literally keeps them from sleeping at night. They love to create…they need to create…but that need is so strong that it ultimately controls them and often they suffer because of it. Chan especially, is relentless when it comes to working on music. He also struggles terribly with insomnia, and has been open about the fact that he rarely sleeps. Instead he often stays awake all night working in the studio. Red lights is a reference to the red studio light that comes on when recording is in progress…but of course red lights are artistically linked to passion and lust and other sexy thangs too. There are so many layers and dualities when it comes to these guys and their music. Chan himself is the same way… Bang Chan/Channie is the everyday, hardworking, shy, goofy, lovable man we see all the time. But every once in awhile, mostly onstage, the feral, sexy version of Chan breaks free…he’s known as Christopher!!! 🖖🏽

This song is actually about being obsessed with work not being able to stop and I think the red lights are on the recording booth if you watch Howl in Harmony song camp ep 3 it shows them working out how they would write the song it’s great.

I've been watching your reactions from the start and when Stays started suggesting that you watch Red Lights as your second SKZ video, I was like "she's gonna die. stays actually wanna kill her" lol 6:12 Felix and Chan are the only native speakers, but Han and Seungmin are also fluent (Han has more of a British accent cause he grew up in Malaysia while Seungmin has more of an American accent. He learned a lot of his English when he lived in LA as a kid). The rest of them have varying degrees of fluency and IN and Hyunjin both sound more Australian at times thanks to Chan and Felix lol 8:04 "They're not gonna kiss in a video" you definitely need to check out some of their behind the scenes stuff. Stays like to joke that they are defintely "Stray" Kids and not "Straight" Kids because of how they act (and SKZ have definitely participated in this joke a few times lol). They're extremely comfortable with each other, and in Korea, physical touch (aka skinship) is very much acceptable between men and not immediately viewed as gay like it is in America. So you'll see them cuddling, hugging, holding hands, literally forming a puppy pile, and even almost kissing each other behind the scenes. So your question of if they're together is not that far off lol. None of SKZ have come out as LGBTQ+ or dating each other, but honestly, a lot of us Stays would not be surprised if they eventually do come out. The only other group that I know of (I'm new to kpop so I could be wrong) that is as touchy and sus as SKZ is Ateez (highly recommend them as well, if you like SKZ. While not the same, they do have similar vibes and the two groups are really good friends) Also, if you want something fun and upbeat after Red Lights, I recommend checking out Surfin' or Time Out. They both are fun summer/beach vibes with super super cute m/v

Hahahahaha this was my introduction to Stray Kids and theyve had me tied up ever since 😅 seriously though the entire thing is a masterpiece. Its my favorite Skz song. Apparently the lyrics were even spicier. Hyunjin wrote most of it and Chan helped him tone it down and changed some of the lyrics 😂😂 Now you need the rest of the Skz Unholy Trinity Taste by Hyunjin, Lee Know, Felix Drive by Bang Chan and Lee Know
