Professor X finally got nerfed, but that means he's actually much scarier alongside Mr. Negative! Could this mean an even more toxic version of the card will take over the meta?
Decklist: snap.untapped....
Power Estimate: Like most Mr. Negative decks, this one feels like it lacks consistency. It can go crazy when things line up, and if you're a smart snapper, you may be able to climb on the back of those cubes even when the win rate lands below 50%. Professor X felt like a pretty reasonable addition to the deck, but might lack the absurd high roll potential of an Arnim Zola, Knull, and Jane Foster build.

When Prof. X got nerfed I immediately thought of a negative deck bc some of my favorite decks are negative decks just bc I like the idea of him. He has one of the more unique effects in the game and it is super cool.

Yea, I encountered X in a Negative list earlier when I was playing a Negative deck. I think it was a bot because they completely locked themselves out of locations going into Turn 7 (Four cards on one, Space Throne with a Tiger Spirit, and X on the last area.

for the game at 15:20 i was really hoping you'd dump your IM, IH and dark hawk into machine world then morph another lane The morph has a good chance to hit those cards that u sent through machineworld, dont think it would have won but it would have been fun to see it play out!

I think wolfsbane might be more reliable than Morph, but i love my morph variant so i tend to run him anyways.

It might be. My logic was to have a "tempo" option on 3 for Professor X on 4. So Ravonna->Morph->X. I figured Morph was generally gonna be stronger on 3, although of course often worse late post-negative.

I think in game 2 there is an interesting, and I think unbeatable, turn 4 play. Turn 3 you ended with professor, then drew mystique with iron man and havoc in hand. I would've copied professor x, then iron man and havoc. No future rogue or enchantress concern, no way bishop out scales havoc and iron man. Unless they soul read you turn 4 since you had priority, but you also had priority turn 6

I'm not gonna lie. I've played this deck and it's actually surprisingly strong. Instead of Morph I like running either Psylocke or Jeff! to compliment the natural lockdown/energy cheat synergy of the deck. I understand Morph is fun but without him the deck is crazy consistent and can't really be "countered" in the traditional sense. You would need a deck of strictly tech cards to counterplay ProfNegative without T3Negative.

Yeah I've been trying similar decks. I also think Blue Marvel is a good sub in, maybe even for Darkhawk since he's not great in the current meta and BM gives you the ability to spread power into multiple locations while still being a decent target for Negative and Mystique.
