5 ай бұрынMapleStory for some reason is up in flames again, this time it is MapleStory Korea that is currently getting its economy destroyed due to some minor mishaps. Fun times to end the year with.
So here is what happened. Today is sunny sunday in MapleStory korea. And today is a special sunny sunday, where Maplers can get up to one MILLION maple points, inkwell coins that are worth 100m mesos each and much much more. Now normally the grand price of 1 MILLION maple points would have been limited to one per server. Buuuut woopsie daisy. There was no limitation this time around. So even though the chances are super small. The price could be won multiple times.
And of course those crafty maplers found a way to explotion this lack of limitations. You see anyone could claim this box regardless of their level. And in MapleStory Korea characters below level 30 can be deleted without a 24 hour waiting period. Sooo people are creating new accounts, create any character, claim the reward. Delete the character, and repeat until they got 1 million maple points or any other crazy price. Then use those maple points to buy mesos in the meso market, trade those to your main account and voila you’ve successfully exploited maplestory.
Currently the regular server economy in MapleStory Korea is going up in flames. Nexon did wake up and imposed a level minimum for opening the box. But the damage to the economy was already done. With most maplers demanding a rollback but that hasnt happened in decades, not to this scale at least. So lets see how they will handle this banger of a closer of the year. And lets not hope that they will copy paste this event to other regions either

Update from kms A temporary restriction was recently applied to 5,821 Maple IDs that received compensation by creating two or more new Maple IDs under the same name. Regarding Maple ID to which temporary restrictions have been applied: After checking game usage records and considering the impact on the game economy, we plan to apply additional usage restrictions and recover goods. Approximately 89 billion Mesos and approximately 8.8 million Maple Points will be recovered from approximately 1,600 winning Maple IDs.

I couldn't be more upset about what is going on in KMS, so I couldn't help but comment this on this channel. Updated 2024. Jan 3rd ) South Korea's National Fair Trade Committe has been officially researching the dirty side of Nexon's Korean Maplestory for more than three years now and they found that the cubes that have been around for more than 10 years, have been lowering their upgrade success rates in very small proportions and failed to give notification to the users. As of January 2024, The FTC has fined Nexon Korea a total of about approximately 10.7Million USD. Cubes have been compromised and altered, so users also suspect that other paid cash items that also require success rates might have been compromised and altered as well. All of Maplestory communities are on full rage mode at the fact that these factual situations could've been solved 3 years ago when Maplestory Korea was going through a major change. The fact that they've been hiding a dirty truth for more than 3 years even when that happened, has finally exploded, and KMS users are completely outraged now. The situation is even worse than 3 years ago, and I wonder what Director Kim will do about this. I quit this game.

People made thousands of dollars from it and I'm pretty sure a lot of rich Korean players making bank from this event LOL

I think you should work on your pronunciation of SIRTITO655. Im a latino viewer and everytime you say that name all I hear is cerotito655 which means little turd 655. Pretty poor video that you made for views. Please do more research before posting. "The damage has already been done" - What damage are you referring to? The meso market and economy is still the same price as any other day. If you actually played KMS, you would know TRILLIONS of mesos is being traded throughout the auction house everyday. This actually did nothing, and its more of those who didn't do it are complaining. Korea already handled the situation and there has been zero impact on the market.
