I just recently really DISCOVERED Tom Petty and the Heatbreakers. I had heard only the ones that played on the radio when I was a young girl in the 1980s. Now approaching 56 years of age, I stumbled upon some deep tracks of TPATH. I was smitten! Listening to the songs during this pandemic has become worse than a drug habit! Each new discovery was better than the last! Tom Petty was a musician genius! A pleasure to see them play live! Someone like him comes around every 100 years. I made a joke with a good male friend of mine who plays guitar that I finally discovered MY MR. RIGHT! Too bad its Tom Petty, since he is no longer earth bound. So I just have to wait for him in the great wide open of eternity!

Do you have the album LONG AFTER DARK? The very first album i ever bought when i was 11 years old. My older brother gave me his old record player and then drove me to the record store and was so proud when that was the album I picked out. That was 1982 and YOU GOT LUCKY VIDEO was dominating Mtv. Now, almost 40 years later, i still have that album!
@chrystalweaver6183 жыл бұрын
@@Jupiterbotz no. Sadly I don't. Are songs on that album on KZfaq? Which song/songs do you recommend from the album? Kids today can't believe that we actually had vinyl albums that were played with a needle! Ha ha, it went from vinyl to 8 tracks to cassettes and then CDs. The big breakthrough before MP3 files. Wow, I feel old! Now, everything is digitally remastered and they can't tell real talent from what they hear on line. The mark of true talent is sounding just as good live as a band does on the radio. PS I had heard Rod Stewart sing LEAVE VIRGINIA ALONE and I had no idea that it was a Tom Petty song. But when you listen to the lyrics you say to yourself OF COURSE! Petty's daughter just gave Good Morning America an interview. Let me find the link and I'll post it!
