My favorite part about the gatling sentry is that like all other sentries it focuses on the larger enemies such as bile titans and chargers despite not being able to penetrate their armour.

Airburst Strike is low key S tier against bugs. Throw that sucker on every breach you see and everything but the bile titans be getting mulched. I'm the only one I ever see run it, and I can consistently get 200+ more kills than my squadmates with it.

I guess the most coherent argument against it is that the Gas strike clears most of the small stuff even more consistently on a way better cooldown. And the fact that it kills chargers is nice and all, but you basically need to pair it with stuns to make that viable given how much chargers can move around, and you're probably still going to need to bring some other charger counter anyway since the cooldown is way too long to handle the volume of chargers on higher difficulties.

Issue is that breach has like 3-4 spawns of bugs and burst only clears 1, it's short. I feel like after fire upgrade is fixed napalm strike for this case is much better. While it's not fixed - cluster bombs

@@63Limar Problem is bile spewers take like no damage fire even without the bug. Airburst kills them in one blast. Try delaying your throw until like 5 seconds into the breach to hit most of the waves

Rover has a heavily modified Scythe, Guard Dog has a Liberator with 30rnd mags. With that cleared up, certainly not against giving the Guard Dog a Penetrator, but if you kill Medium and Heavy targets faster it'll waste less ammo on them.

Another busting thing for supply pack is that if you use all of the supplies for your friends, you dont need to supply yourself before taking the resupply. It refills both the normal supply AND the backpack. So unload those grenade pistols like they are a true support weapon and have fun ALWAYS being topped off.

Autocannon sentry claps cheeks for days. With good placement it can mow down multiple Titans and Chargers, plus it takes aggro from you and the homies. Been crutching on it since AH made the Quasar fire only once every leap year.

Yeah I bring it a lot and it's 100% position dependant. One simple way to get more value out of it is to just yeet it as far away from the bugs as you can. It's gonna take some time to turn around but it will be much safer. It's also great for setting up before assaulting a nest or when a bug breach triggers, especially on high ground.

Autocannon is pretty good... when it works. As you could see in the autocannon part, it sometimes doesn't kill Bile Titans as fast, leading to it being destroyed. It also has an abysmal turn rate, unlike gatling

With good placement and you keeping enemies off of it the Autocannon Sentry is indeed amazing. But that can be a lot to ask sometimes. Still is easily my favorite turret.

My favorite is to run it with the padded light armor because i can train the group of bugs while it puts in the work

Omega underrated is the Melee, I'd bet at least half the people who play the game have ever even pushed the melee button. You can parry the Hunter jump with a melee, Hunter flying at you just clock it in the head and it will stagger back then you just pop a quick dome. Little automaton bots also die in 2 and the melee doesn't alert enemies to you. If you're playing stealth you can kill small bots before they can alert their allies. You're able to sneak into bases and as long as there isn't anything bigger than a small bot between you and the objective you can get in completely undetected, actually incredible for Strategem Jammers. It's niche as hell but it's amazing in the right situations. Another underrated weapon is the Redeemer in single fire mode. If you need a weapon that can just kill the small guys it's pretty amazing, pairing it with an unruly weapon like the Eruptor, Jar 5 or Slugger which isn't very good against the small units is great. It's just an extremely reliable weak headshot weapon that can kill infinite small bots, Scavengers and Hunters. I bet most people use the Redeemer in full auto mode to burst down medium tier units like Meat Saws and Brood Commanders but using it like the basic pistol is extremely underutilized and can filter out the Stalwart in more builds than not. Smokes against Bots is also really underutilized. The secret is to throw it when you're next to a LOS blocker then duck behind the sight blocker and run away, pairing it with stealth armor will let you escape so many situations.

TIL the redeemer has a single fire setting. I will absolutely vouch for melee against bugs though, can be a lifesaver if your mags are empty.

I’ve been using recoilless rifle since I unlocked it, still using it on most missions and I’m lvl 125. Such a fun weapon to use, and it’s so powerful. Really strong having an anti tank shot every 3 ish seconds in d9 for both bots and bugs. Pairs really well with sentries (specifically Gatling sentry) too since you can take out all the big stuff while the turret does the rest. Does require practice though to get the positioning optimized.

I think "really strong" and "powerfull" it's a bit much, it's just an AT launcher who does it's job nothing special but usefull (if u don't play solo and not get swarmed whenever u wanna reload)

Not a fan of it bots personally, might be because i play solo/duo, but i feel like you need something for hulks way more often than RR can provide. Im an autocannon/laser cannon guy myself. For bugs i prefer EATs, but there's definitely a reason to use RR (especially with team reload)

I think the eagle strafing run is also an underdog against bugs. It definitely needs more charges (absolutely criminal it has less than cluster) but it's super versatile because of how precise it is. There's a lot of situations where a cluster bomb would need to kill your teammates or yourself to hit the bugs but the strafing run can be spammed every encounter without friendly fire and in the right situation it can really thin out hordes of bugs. Especially effective against both types of spewers since they're such big targets.

The thing that bugs me the most about the Eagle strafing run is that the attack pattern on the ground is two parallel lines but Eagle 1 has a nose-mounted gattling gun similar to an A-10 Thunderbolt II. Would be nice if you could hear the brrrrrrt and have it act kind of like a shorter and more precise orbital gattling barrage.

Eagle Strafing has a lot of potential to be good, it just doesnt kick hard enough to consistently wipe out trash mobs. It either needs more density in each line of fire, some armor pen or just staight up more damage.

You know what's crazy? Orbital Airburst Strike cooldown was 75sec on release, along with Gas Strike, they were my two main strats all the time, then they nerfed Airburst to 100sec and I leave it, now it's 120sec, and it never got mentioned anywhere in a single patch note.

I finally figured out the power of the airburst so I have been using it for a little while and I was so confused when I went to put it on and saw 120 seconds?!? Hardly worth it. I was thinking to myself “this would be so much better if it was like every minute” probably because it used to be 75 seconds. I knew there was something fishy going on. Idk why the devs seem to actively oppose anything fun.

Same. You get alot more kills with the airburst on a bug breach, then you do an air strike. Altho the positive of the air strike is it can be used on a BT, where the airburst does nothing to it. @@icata12345

Gas is still 75 I'm pretty sure. Also, I think they nerfed Airburst but 2 minutes still isn't long compared to other stratagems which are more than that. Also, people are sleeping on Gatling barrage.

Autocannon Sentry is amazing against bots. Takes out hulks and mediums consistently. Just hope there isn't a dropship for it to waste rounds on tho lol. No idea what I would ever pick rocket sentry for, it just doesn't punch hard enough.

I have tested it in the defense mission against bugs and works better than the gattling for mobs and chargers. Because the splash damage and lower speed it keeps being effective and doesn't run out of ammo. So you can get 100% uptime.

Rocket sentry will try to prioritize big targets in range (allegedly), and by big targets it means ‘anything with a big dot on the minimap’, before targeting whatever else. the bullet ones prefer shooting things they think they can hurt (but will still target chargers/titans if there’s nothing else), and the autocannon seems to just go for whatever is closest to it in all cases (all sentries generally do if they have no other priorities or if two targets have tied priorities), which just exacerbates the turning problem (constant target switching due to mobs dying or proximity changing before it can shoot) and self killing issue when used poorly (or with some badly timed patrol spawns).

The main thing you need to learn with the autocannon sentry is *range*. The damn thing can take out chargers and bile titans in quick succession, as long as it gets the 5 seconds it needs to aim at them. It's not ideal if the bugs get to it, but if you can keep it safe long enough for it to get it's cannon on target it can take out up to 4 bile titans in about 20 seconds. If you manage to set one up in advance it can do some serious work. It's an excellent ambush tool. As for the gatling sentry: The thing about sentries is that they're more than just bug killing. They also draw aggro. Which can give you the breathing room needed to get a situation under control. They also overpenetrate small size bugs I think, so they may be more effective in more enemy dense situations. Plus, they're excellent against the most important bug type to keep under control: Hunters. The advantage it has over the tesla tower is that it can do all that without being an extreme liability to the team. The reason why I don't prefer the JAR against bots is simple: Range matters. The bots are most effective at medium range. So that's the range you don't want to fight them at. That's also the range you use a JAR at.

Well the extreme liability to your team is debatable for sure. Gatling sentries randomly whipping 180 degrees and wiping half your team, and don’t ever use mortars against bugs, but just like most other stratagems you just have to pay attention and learn some good positioning. It’s a cool balance mechanic that these stratagems nuke huge hoards but they’re balanced with friendly fire.

@@submachinegun5737 It's okay to use mortars against bugs, but the thing is that there just aren't a lot of situations where they're good. Using mortar sentries in a bug breach is a bad idea, but throwing one or two down prior to engaging an outpost or objective can soften them up so you have less small fry to worry about and can focus on big targets like chargers and BTs.

Guard Dog needs to be able to resupply half ammo off of ammo packs. Needing resupply pickups is too feels bad, will never be picked over rover sadly 😞 Oh shit! I had no idea Airburst could kill Chargers! Pro tip: Airburst will kill Bile Titan if the back armor is stripped (big hole in the back armor with orange guts showing)

As it stands, it hits hard when it's online, but it is active for about 2% of the mission, then it's just dead weight on your back the rest of the mission 😔 #JusticeForGuardDog!

I swear by the eagle strafing run. It's different from all others in that it's angled away from you and not perpendicular. This means that it's good with softening up and clearing out groups of enemies that are chasing you. Get them through a choke and it thins out the mooks easy-peasy. Even takes down Dominators occationally. I very commonly throw that thing at my own feet when getting swarmed, jump onto my back and watch the strafe as I reload.

As someone who has been using Ammo Backpack since launch, I have a few gameplay tips. 1, be greedin'. Don't go handing out Refills off of the HUD, because the HUD's broken and doesn't actually display proper information after the first refill. If an ally uses the "Need ammo" callout or asks for it in VC or TC, go ahead and hand one out, even when using the HMG you will have more than enough to go around, so long as you only give to those who need it. 2, be frugal. When with the squad, be sure to have an empty node on the pack before you touch the Resupply call-in's nodes, you refill both your ammo and a backpack node off of a single resupply call-in's node, effectively double dipping on the ammo you recieve. 3, be shootin'. You will not run out of ammo in fights, almost ever. Keep the pressure up. Ignore ammo counts and mag dump pretty much every compound you come across, and be sure to refill your magazines between every fight, no matter how many bullet's you've actually fired, because a full mag is better than saving 30 bullets in your HMG or 2 grenades in your GL. 4, be stimmin'. You have 8 extra stims on your back, so make use of them whenever possible. Always stim back to full. When sprinting across the map, take damage somehow and pop a stim when your stamina bottoms out to fully refill it instantly and have infinite stamina for a short duration. 5, be nadin'. You have 8 extra grenades on your back, so you best be tossing them. Take impacts if your build lack a good strider-killer, take smokes and stealth for minutes at a time, take stun to play the game on easy mode, seriously stuns are so strong with this pack because you can basically toss them with impunity. GL or Grenade Pistol allows you to still preform essential HELLDIVER tasks like nests and fabs, and if you haven't tried using GL as a primary with the Ammo Pack, I HIGHLY recommend, GL refills both it's mags off of one node, meaning you can haul around some 120 or so Grenades at a time, and it's so consistent for taking out striders you can bring the instant-win stun grenades as your throwable.

I use the Orbital Airburst all the dang time. One of my favorites. Placed correctly it will also take out hulks and tanks if enough of the splash hits the heat vents. Especially if you trick tanks into getting stuck. And I really just love how damn dangerous it is.

It has its uses on bots but there are other strategems I prefer for them. On the other hand I will never not take it to bugs, it's just too good. I pair it with a 500kg and they give me an answer to everything.

Part of the reason the supply backpack is slept on is because it doesn't "make sense". It basically gives you an extra supply pack from the resupply pod. By carrying an empty backpack, your helldiver gets double the grenades/ stims, and ammo from the same pack. It makes zero sense physically and it's not something a player would expect without being told about it or using the supply backpack themselves.

Then spread the word. Get your friend to run something like grenade launcher supply pack, and tell them how to hit 5 to resupply themselves. The backpack is fun enough without the mechanic of double resupply; but the double resupply is something anyone will realize while they are having fun with spamming all the ammo. People just don't experiment enough with this game.

Run a supply backpack with a Stalwart & Eruptor, use the Stalwart as your primary weapon & Eruptor as the support weapon. The supply backpack will help make up for the lack of magazines for the Stalwart.

@@TheNightOwl11683 Personally, I really don't understand the Stalwart & Eruptor build at higher levels. Tried it the first day and it felt very underwhelming. Eruptor could handle chaff well enough on its own, and neither of them can deal with heavies. Now with the Eruptor neutered you can barely even manage mediums. At least the other machine guns can do that much enough to maybe let the EAT handle the rest... maybe.

@@SepticFuddy After the Eruptor nerf, it's not viable anymore. The shrapnel being removed took a lot of damage potential out of it. DOT being fixed, a straight up fire build is very powerful (Incendiary Breaker, Grenade Pistol, Flamethrower, Eagle Napalm Strike, EAT-17 for heavy targets, & your choice of Stun or Thermite grenades, probably even the Incendiary Impact grenades when they get released in the next warbond). Go with a shield backpack & a medic armor to help with survivability.

Love the orbital airburst but sadly some planets have the accuracy modifier that make it far more dangerous to your team and often just get zero value.

The secret for gatling sentry is to throw it really far in front of you and kite the bugs in front of it, also pretty good for killing bots at long range and getting them to focus the sentry so you can flank them. Solo helldive with gatling and autocannon sentry a lot and I think its a fun playstyle

AC sentry is goated, using it almost every time on bug missions. Has to be positioned right because if anything is near it ever its fuckin dead. Its got massive range tho, it can take extra BTs and Chargers off your back if you give it space to breathe, clear some of the chaff so the targeting doesnt do dumb shit and ideally the elevation that was mentioned. It can also kill dropships if you get lucky with the angle and it hits an engine, not consistent tho. I generally dont run it against bots because all it takes is one rocket, havent tried it with the fixed sentry health tho. Mostly I just like it because its an autocannon tho.

On the sentries I personally run the Auto Cannon heavily. Even though like you said it tends to kill itself, get overrun, or shoot at the least important target, but when it gets put in a good position with some range it is on like Donkey Kong. It will wreck everything and anything short of Bile Titans that can't be staggered and tend to charge it down. But it can and will absolutely still wreck a titan if it's given a chance and a bit of range. I like to wing it off a ways as I'm being chased to unload on my pursuers or just simply as a distraction to draw enemies away as I bail and run. Or toss it on the rim of a large nest or out a bit from a bot base to position it to start unloading on stuff before I go in. When I hear and see that thing start hammering into something it's just so satisfying. But like you said it can also be infuriating all to often such as when I wing it off to the side somewhere and a massive patrol spawns right next to it and obliterates it or draws it's attention away from the Titan or Chargers that are hot on my heels lol.

I love the Gatling barrage. I’ve killed Biles and chargers with it after missing a full blast from a 500KG and only doing partial damage and only cracking armor. It’s also great for small enemies and it only takes 80 seconds to charge. But you need stuns for chargers. But with 6 stun grenades it awesome even in helldive. I get most people prefer air burst but the Gatling barrage can come back like 40 seconds sooner which makes it my preferred strat. I’ve been running 500KG, orbital Gatling, shield gen backpack, Flamethrower, sickle, grenade pistol, and stun grenades. With the light armor that gives 6 grenades It’s really unconventional but super effective.

You are positioning your autocannon sentry atrociously in that first clip. The other clips are better, but note that sentries all have a range of roughly 70 meters (~100 for mortars) so they should be much farther back. Also rocket sentries have the damage equivalent of a mech rocket. Aka not very good. I'd prefer if the rocket sentry had a much slower firerate and a bit less ammo, but launched EAT rockets. It might not need the volley of 2 if they made that change, but they should keep it so that it can perform anti air against the bots. (Though if 2 EATs to the body of a dropship don't drop it, they should force the dropship to die to a single volley) TLDR; sentries have way more range than you'd expect, you can place them well before engaging & rocket sentry needs a buff/rework.

Yeah, I have seen a lot of people miscalculate the range of sentries. Even with mortars I see a lot of people put them right into the action just to get destroyed. With missile and cannon you can put them in high positions even if there are no enemies around and any breach or patrol will get destroyed keeping the zone free of enemies.

Yeah I always tend to look for a clear area away from the fighting if I have to call down a sentry, both so it can get a clear line of sight and also so enemies aren't standing on it. The Autocannon Sentry in particular will destroy itself if it fires at close range.

I've had some pretty good results with the Gatling sentry. It's just the same as all sentries where the spawns and placement really dictate it's effectiveness. I've had plenty of drops of the Gatling Sentry where it's killed over 50 enemies, but also plenty of drops where it kills like 10 enemies and gets overrun by Brood Commanders and taken down

Recoilless has reload stages now too. Meaning you can interrupt the animation once you pull out the spent shell (?) and hear the sound, and when you commence reloading, that stage is already done with. Nifty

The only instance of me using a 500kg is on those missions with one less stratagem slots. Otherwise I go with airstrike for dealing with hordes and the occasional charger, as well as sometimes finishing off bile titans, and the railcannon strike to reliably kill heavy armor enemies. Quasar or EAT is a pretty nice option to fill up the loadout if you want to go all in on the tank killer build. Just grab a breaker or some other crowd clear primary

Supply back is an insanely good backpack against bugs, coming from a hell commander. It's slept on because you get it so early then forget when you start unlocking the others. I rarely see anyone run it anymore. More stims = more survivability More ammo = more horde clearing for ammo-hungry guns More nades = faster horde clearing or more survivability/utility by using stun nades 2 for 1 uses when you refill from a resupply pod. You're not slowed down by regrouping to share the resupply pod. Constant uptime on supplies means you run away less, clear bug nests and onjectives faster. You don't need the shield or rover if you know how to kite bile spit, dodge attacks, parry (hunters) and prevent yourself from being overwhelmed. Jetpack is nice style points and mobility, but unless you're that guy that runs from bug breaches and leaves the squad to fight (viable strat, not hating this) then you're gonna drain time looking for ammo crates or resupplying. Supply backpack with an aggressive playstyle is pretty much my go-to these days

Love the supply pack. Run it basically always. There is a fun trick you can do with it if you've got a friend; they take RR (for bugs) or Spear (for bots) and you take supply pack with a support weapon that doesn't need a backpack (flamethrower for bugs, AMR for bots), but you swap backpacks. You reload for him, and he uses the supply pack on you, which effectively resupplies your support weapon as well as his with a single use. At maximum efficiency, this means you have 21 canisters for the flamethrower and 18 rockets for the recoilless. That's a dozen more rockets than the team would have otherwise, and you can team reload to fire every 2 seconds when a bile titan shows up.

I tend to run airburst most big missions. It can be a bit sketchy with scatter mod. I like the jetpack, I think it just needs a few secs, 20s to like 15s, quicker jump cooldown, and to shoot while flying and it's in a great spot. Some of these things like airburst and HMG not receiving some ship upgrades for some odd balancing reason hurts them.

Autocannon sentry shreds against bugs with correct placement. You have to anticipate when you'll need it, and place it far from a fight for it to cover you/be a safe spot to fall back to. It can and will kill multiple bile titans if you defend it. I bring it every mission against bugs. If its suiciding on you more than clearing the screen of heavies, you need to get better with your placement of it.

I'm in a love/hate relationship with the 500kg. I have literally headshotted bile titans with it and they lived. I've landed them directly under titans while they are *not* spitting, just walking around so no damage reduction from the spit animation, and they lived. A few weeks ago I was one-shotting titans left and right with it, and since the last patch/MO i've been lucky if it only takes two.

Bile Titans are weird. I've laid perfect shots on them that have 2 shot them in the past at full health, but then other times I make 4 or 5 of those shots before they go down. I feel like I'm missing something, but don't know what. That's with AT weapons like EAT, quasar, and RR

Been having the same problem, with both titans and chargers, I thought I was taking crazy pills! Since the last patch it's been crazy inconsistent. Feels like now I can place it on/very near to a stunned charger and about 30% of the time they just walk away with no major injuries, even on sticks. Same with titans, get that perfect ranged throw where you get the ball right under a titan without aggroing it, used to be a damn near guaranteed kill, now they seem to almost always be able to walk away from it without major damage. What on earth are they doing to this game.....

The way aoe damage and armor interact in this game just leads to inconsistent results . The 500kg aoe is big enough that it is basically hitting every possible hurtbox on a biletitan but where that damage is being allocated leads to drastically different results. The legs are basically invincible and if the 500kg determines that is the part that is being hit then the 500kg is going to do nothing. I don't know if that is how damage is actually determines but one of the earlier patches gave us a glimpse. The patch that made Bot rockets weaker by removing their ability to hit multiple helldiver limbs at once with the aoe, and one of those limbs is the head, so people were taking anywhere from 1-6 times damage or getting oneshotted if the aoe hit the head. From that we can see that damage from AOE at one point for bot rockets was calculating hitting multiple hurtboxes at once and now it only hits one and applies damage to it, the same might be happening to the 500kg.

I was trying out the rail gun on bugs since i only started playing post railgun nerf and ive been enjoying it, the one thing i was struggling with was bile titans mainly cuz im ass at figuring out the 500 timing. Decided to run eats inplace of the 500 and been liking that immensely more. Also like running it with the jar, grenade pistol and supply pack with airstrike as my final stratagem and its been my favorite loadout as of recently for bugs

The JAR is kinda frustrating to use with bugs, in my experience. It has a hard time dealing with hunters since it's slow to swing around and they can often dodge the rockets, and you don't have a close range sidearm for emergencies. It's my go-to weapon for bots, though.

The orbital railcannon seems to target Brood Commanders first, too. For some reason the auto-targeting of stratagems puts them ahead of Bile Titans.

Shield gen is extremely usefull against automatons due to its extremely low cooldown. Inside it you can deal with small targets with your trusty cluster airstrike and then finish off hulks easly because they will stay steady firing to your shield as you pop their heads. I even use it as a decoy as enemies prioritize deployables and the shield will take a good amount of aggro before getting destroyed. Deploy it on a high spot and melee enemies will not reach it and will remain stuck until a ranged unit destroys it or it wears off.

The supply backpack is great. It takes guns that are good but hungry for ammo like the scorcher and lets you use them constantly without worry. You can also go absolutely insane with the flamer and grenade launchers when you have 5 times the ammo. The resupply stratagem also fills one of your backpack slots so it last even longer than it looks

The Gatling sentries are good with the servo assisted throw, You can toss it near friends in trouble if you are not able to get over there. Has 75m sight excellent with hills. And particularly helpful with Shriekers acting as a flack cannon. Most of the sentries have pretty crazy range too.

I've never seen airburst take out a charger, it even says its medium armor penetrating on the stats Also if your using the incendiary breaker watch out for friendly fire, a tiny shot will light them on fire and that can kill them almost immediatly Its a cone of death for allies

Jump jet works really grwat with charge weapons like arc thrower and quasar. You can charge while in the air to immediately counter attack something your running from. Also works great if u do stratagem inputs while flying.

Supply Pack is also great with the Grenade Launcher. Really lets you spam it. Grenade spam will kill just about anything, but is super efficient at clearing big mobs of enemies.

Recoilless rifle is quite underrated imo. You can just whip it out, instantly kill a heavy enemy and then reload it later. Its staged reload lets you reload in 2 quick parts and you can even skip the third bit of the reload. It can 2 shot bile titans too. Its very fun and my main support weapon against bugs and bots alike.

Advice on turrets, best way I’ve found to use them is alongside another. E.g. the battling and the matching gun. Separately, they’re ok but you’ve got to be cautious with how you use them/ defend them from being blown up. Used in tandem, the mg sorts the medium armoured enemies whilst the gat sorts out the hoards. It’s not the most versatile way to play but it’s definitely a fun way. Also they’re not great against bots, they’ll blow them up in seconds :/

Does the ballistic shield actually protect you from melee? In a defense mission I was in, I ran out of bullets on everything and I had to get to extract. A hulk swung the saw at me and I saw sparks flies on my back. Then it did again 3 times by a hulk saw, and a raider ground punch. Berserker saw also made sparks as I went past their attack. Some of the melee do damage of course, but it seem to deflect melee attack too. Left with 0 death from many close call that game. I want to try using it on bugs next time, see if it does block some melee attack. Since it blocked some bot melee.

I find that autocannon sentry works immensely well vs bugs if placed pre-emptively before you reach objectives or tossed far from your location. As in, toss it to your right but the lead the bugs left. The thing has insane range and it can kill multiple chargers and even bile titans at range as well as mow down way more enemies than gatling sentry with the AoE. Like seriously, just toss that thing out in open where there's no enemies nearby about 50-100 meters away from an objetive - as long as it has line of sight it will absolutely tear and shred any patrol that might be heading your way for as long as it has ammo, as well as clear out the objective area at range. In multiplayer it can also be used in the same manner against teammates that just got bug breached. It's got enough ammo to kill two bile titans and leave the third one somewhat injured if it fires at absolutely nothing else - which is a ton of damage. If it's tossed when a swarm is already on you though, yeah it's not gonna do anything.

Not saying Minigun is perfect by any means, but compared to most air strikes and orbitals the Minigun will rack up more kills more reliably while drawing aggro away from you, while compared to the Tesla Tower it has nearly 7 times it's range and you can stand right on top of it and be perfectly safe, while even with the Arc armor it'll take nearly a fifth of your HP off with a single hit.

it objectively won't. the second a charger pops up you'll get next to no kills and the highest you'll get from minigun sentry alone is maybe 30. I can get 60+ from a single gas strike from simply tossing it in.

the gatling sentry is not meant to carry you, it's meant to provide cover in times of need. Like if you have an army after you, you can plop it down to provide cover fire and as a distraction, allowing you to escape (bugs and bots will always focus it and ignore you). It runs out quickly but the firerate has saved my ass many times when i was sure i'd get pwned by some bugs or bots. Even better is that sentries won't call in reinforcements, or bug breaches. So if you see a patrol and want to take it out without alerting enemies, the gatling sentry will do that easily unless theres a charger/titan.

@@OhDough orbitals alert patrols if you don't kill all of them. Same with dropships. and also if you dont time orbitals, they not gonna kill anything. But as long as the gatling sees enemies, thats a guaranteed 20 kills minimum, just throw and forget about it. It can also save your teammates if they are attacked by a big swarm, throwing an orbital could just kill them or miss entirely. Its a defensive stratagem, thats why its green. plus with deployment upgrade, the sentry is almost instantly deployed while orbitals can take a pretty long time.

The autocannon turret is one of my favorite things to bring in with bugs. When I'm assaulting I'll throw it to my forward-right or left and then go in from the front or flank to the opposite side. I start the fight and all the bugs focus on me while the gun starts pummeling them. Thankfully, usually it targets the charger. Sometimes I'll toss it where I'm standing then run into an area and let it cover me. Sometimes it might blast me but, I'm usually aware enough not to stand in the direct line of it's firing solution. Can you do better with a stratigem? Yeah maybe. But the range and it hits hard enough to just be an extra gun that helps along side with a laser backpack and sickle to gun down a bunch of bugs. Against bots? It's . . . more like you want to lure the bots into it but it's not gonna do great honestly since it's more than likely gonna get targeted and overrun even with fire support.

Airburst needs three thing to become very good: 1 - A 4th shot with the upgrade to barrages (give it a barrage tag if needed); 2 - Longer window between shots, so that it becomes a true bug breach killer; 3 - Tighter spread around the edges of the map, cuz it can completely miss hordes of enemies. Gas needs to be fixed for non-host, just like fire. As it is now, enemies can just shrug it off if you aren't the host. I'd also settle with a radius and duration upgrade. EMS Strike: As it is now, it is inferior to EMS mortars in every possible way. It needs a wider area of effect and it needs to stop all enemies, including Bile Titans and Factory Striders. Make it work on massive enemies and now we have a reason to pick it over EMS mortar. Autocannon sentry I just throw it as far away from the action and usually on high ground if possible. But I would like it proritize bigger targets and not the small bugs around me....which it seems to prefer. Rocket Sentry: same for autocannon. The tooltip says it targets large enemies, but it doesn't. It prioritizes small enemies and will completely ignore the Bile Titan right in front of it. I think it shouldn't even target small bugs, no matter what.

EMS strike need much much shorter call-in time and it will be okay around second or second and a half. If you need to disable a lot of things in the area you usually need it VERY urgently.

Orbital Airburst Strike is badly slept on. It's one of the most consistent area-clearing tools in the entire game on a 2-minute base cooldown. Yes it doesn't help with heavies, but by weeding out so much chaff, it buys you a ton of breathing room to use your tools for killing those. Just chuck it at a bug push and watch kill count go brrr. Orbital Precision Strike gets written off because other burst damage stratagems are easier to use, but if you can break the skill floor for using it properly, its potential is as limitless as a stratagem can have in this game. Being able to delete priority targets in one shot on a 100-second cooldown is crazy. I find that the easiest way to make effective use of it is to use it in tandem with stun grenades and/or armors that either boost stealth or stratagem throwing range. stun a patrol or sneak up on a garrison and use the OPS as your opening shot to pick off the most dangerous target. In open combat it wrecks tanks because of how easy it is to stick them with the orb too.

They need better targeting system. Even sentry perfectly placed on elevated ground can just turn towards single isolated scavenger it can't even see, fire ALL of its ammo straight into the ground or into a small knee high rock and turn off.

Precision strike is really nice against bots. Not only can it one shot tanks and hulks, but it can take out detector towers fairly easily. As long as you throw it in the right side so it doesn't bounce it takes them out really consistently.

AC turret is my shit on the bugs, but once I went up to 9 it definitely got a lot harder to use. Not because it works worse, but just because you have bugs coming from more directions and more often when you get bogged down, and it's really difficult to set it up during a fight without it getting instagibbed. If you can see a fight coming and position it well, it absolutely still does gangbusters though, you just have to be way more proactive about it, even going up from just 7.

I've killed so many bile titans and chargers, hulks, tanks with the orbital strike. You know, the first one in the game? It's intense. One shots every single one. Unlimited uses, 60 sec cool down. How do you hit anything other than biles? Stun gernade. Biles? timing or you dance underneath it and get it's guts rained on you.

"the orbital strike" "the first one" just say precision because there's precision, airburst, gas, ems But also, 100 sec cooldown, not 60.

Been rocking the supply pack after they added the last module. Mixed with a nade launcher and i have more explosives than ik what to do with.

I absolutely love the AC sentry, but it has the durability of an ice sickle in summer time. It's definitely a glass cannon.

i saw a comment saying mrs should be effective 55m+ and "every gun is basically a shotgun" (paraphrase), but i couldnt help but notice thats about the detection range on enemies. thats what they should be used for, takin out specific targets to reduce reinforcement calls and such, but they cant do that and are virtually useless. the slugger was the best dmr cuz even unscoped and some skill, you could effectively take down all the targets fast enough to not matter if you're in detection range. the dmr however, you have to scope and slowly take down enemies and body shots would even one shot the weakest of bots, also not far away enough so you get bot drops. i havent played with the updated marksman rifles yet so idk how they feel now.

my fave load out for bugs is recoilless, kg, orbital airburst. 4th is flex based on team load out. Always gets me 400+ on lvl 7, higher for higher difficulty

0:35 I think you are saying when you see "white" in the rifle. Is that immediately after firing you crouch? Could you explain a bit more, this seems to be a very helpful tip.

The Orbital Airburst is now pretty much a Must-Take for me while going against bugs now. It's just so so good at dealing with bug breaches, and the cooldown is low enough that it typically is ready to go for the next one, provided you're not playing like a muppet. The Ballistics Shield is almost always with me during Bot runs, and it's saved my bacon so many times. Even if rockets do send you flying, it minimizes the damage and even more so if you're wearing heavy armor with Fortified. Plus you can pretty much just tank whole hordes of bots so long as you can keep them all in front of you... which can be hard when the game literally spawns a flanking patrol right behind you despite having cleared the area behind you just moments before. It also can protect you when it's on your back and you're running away like an unpatriotic coward

I agree. I took it last time on a full cluster/anti-chaff build with the RL-77 along with the Eagle Strage (yes I know). The map had many valleys where the Eagle Strafe run took out at least 15 bugs everytime which was very nice. The Orbital one though, it performed better than the Eagle Cluster bombs in my opinion. Also it's somewhat less dangerous than the Eagle which seems to be cursed for TKs and massive AoE radius. It's a pretty solid choice on bugs ngl.

I agree turrets are kinda weak, like we upgraded their turn rate and ammo expecting them to do some work, and they are super weak. AH really need to increase the ammo cap even further I think, because they barely are up a minute. also fix the explosive protection delio, and give the machinegun turret a faster cooldown by like 30 seconds.

Airburst has been my favorite ad clear for a while. Def slept on, but I think most people are afraid of the friendly fire lmao.

Precision strike is great against factory striders. Does a ton of damage and is really easy to kill afterwards

You didn't mention this (maybe you don't know?), but you can use the jump pack when you're crouching, sliding, prone, or diving. It's actually kinda busted when you're getting run down by mobs of hunters that are jumping at you all at once.

Yo my favorite backpack is supply pack, back before railgun nerf I always ran railgun and supply pack and used railgun as a pseudo primary that could do it all even if bile titan and tank kills weren't super effective without ps5 glitch.

I feel all the turrets minus the mortars need a base ammo increase. Even with the ship upgrade they run out too fast.

I believe vitality boost is effectively giving 50 armor rating, because with the armor testing videos I've seen when it's added it pretty much matches the next tier of armor.
