Reach out to activists and Political leaders who represent this community as well as the Church Leaders organizing a March and protest at the City Hall and State Capital to get local and National news coverage. The Church has to come together to stand with this Pastor instead of watching from afar or he’s going to Prison and fine! There is strength in numbers💯

Speak for yourself,and pray to the Lord you never find yourself in such a situation where your life goes wrong and you have nowhere to Turn and find yourself living in the streets with no hope of it ever changing. Not everyone who is homeless is doing bad things,many Lost jobs and homes,many Lost loved ones and for whatever reason Gave up on themselves and life,many are Lost in themselves and can't find a way out of the darkness that surrounds them. The way you're speaking shines a light on how putrid your heart really is,and i wish you no harm,but i sure believe that you should go thru some striffe and find yourself in such a situation where you would be able to understand how these people live day to day. It's easy to talk down on those who are misfortunate when you have a full belly...

This makes me extremely angry, my ministry has also faced zoning problems with city officials. There are protections in place for these situations. Zoning officials are not allowed to impose substantial burden on religious organizations. God will assure justice is served, the city should be sued and the Religious land use and institutionalized persons act has lead to many lawsuits against unjust city laws and discrimination.

Zoning laws my FOOT. Case dismissed because of lack of jurisdiction. Save tax $$. The Church is separate "jurisdiction" and this case stops religion functions in its tracks. The church is PRIVATE PROPERTY. Cops can't come on private property. Then we have the Gonzalez case, where the cops do NOT have to protect or serve ANYTHING. Looks like Chris avell had time to fix zoning violations so people would be housed safely. City of bryan gave him a month to fix issues. Why didn't he comply so homeless would be in a safe environment. Im all for pastor helping people but there may be more to this story than meets the eye. Also the church is not 🚫 what fox shows you. It is a storefront where chris has an arcade and church. Look at google map. Essentially this looks like a business. Could it be that the contracted rental agreement is for that? I don't know. Again im all for helping people and i do what i can myself but lets look at all the facts

This isn't about what's safe. "Ppl sleeping here in this warm church isn't safe. These ppl need to go sleep outside under a bridge in the winter..... that's much safer. Unless you pay a bunch of fees for permits and variances for zoning ordinances". This is disgusting. That city needs to protest. Now. Homelessness can happen to anybody. It's not airways a choice.
