In the mide 70's I was rear pilot truck when we hauled 24' wide building panels from Hibbing, mn to Diluth, MN. We cuold only haul from 1 AM to 6Am. That was fun to try to keep people back .We did get all the panels to Duluth.

Might be good to figure out some form of drainage on future haul of similar large boat,or build in more weight allowance. Radio quality of escort bad. Roosters camera quality the best. Steve's video might improve with Rainex on Ram window cam.

Ohio sucks for trucks! Almost has bad as California. I've been retired from OTR for 15 years, but when I had to go to Michigan from Tennessee or Kentucky, I would go thru Indiana! A longer route, but less headache !!

I figured they had call complaints of Tim blocking them from passing. And they would suspend them from delivering. I seen one transport get so angry when they was told they can't transport the load. And we took possision of it. Contacted the people who was receiving the load. Told them if they want it they had to pay $$$$$$$ they was not happy at all. But we delivered it when they had the money wired to our bank account.

Pretty cool you guys pass Seville Ohio used to be a Schneider National Terminal there when I first started driving truck 25 plus years ago I drove for Schneider I have never had any issues there but times have changed since I've been off going over the road now I'm local and love it that way

Back in 1979 rolling south bound I 71 just before Mansfield Oh. As I'm heading in the chicken coop about 3 am ,trailer tire comes off and rolls past me and right up to the scale house and falls over... officer inside didn't even notice it till I walked up and said good evening sir.

I noticed hauling grape juice from Westfield NY, to Alex bay NY, the tare weight of the tanker trailer would be at least 1000 lbs heavier on a winters days with snow and ice flying everywhere. I would knock off as much snow and ice as I got loaded, as we were charged by the weight of the grape juice.

Usually if you treat them with respect they will give it right back. I've been stopped 6 times over the last 20 years and out of the 6 times I've had 4 warning tickets and 2 verbal warnings. It's all in the way you talk to them.

That's why we never go through Ohio with wide load's. They try to find ways to impound them. We nearly lost a $$$$$$$ shipment. Lucky the Highway Patrol Chief Officer was nearby and he went in and was like what's your on with u guy's trying to seize the load. The Weight Station was shutdown until further notice. We will go around Ohio. State troopers knows why truck drivers do that.

I wonder if he was directed to cross scale. I’ve pulled oversized and I just run the bypass lane. I hauled a large tank out of Oakland, I started to cross a scale in Ca and I got hand shaking and finger pointing,and was told not ever cross the scales with a permitted load.

I heard since the 90's Ohio is a pain in the Ass. I know a guy that pulled cars from the Jersey port every time he come to Ohio he had to take one car or one truck off and get a tow company to follow him out to the next line.
